Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lucas Fredriksson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Henry Wotton! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wotton lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Wotton closes the distance and lands a one-two. Fredriksson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Fredriksson tries to clinch but fails miserably and Fredriksson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Fredriksson tries to clinch but Wotton moves away letting Wotton counter with a right hand. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wotton misses with a double jab.
Wotton fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Fredriksson on the side of the head. Wotton leaves Fredriksson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Wotton feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fredrikssons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Wotton throws a jab but it's blocked by Fredriksson. A swing and a miss from Wotton.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fredriksson clinches up against the cage. Fredriksson tries to score a body lock takedown but Wotton shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Fredriksson is looking to take this one to the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucas Fredriksson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wotton is trying to break free. Wotton tries to break free but Fredriksson pushes him back against the cage. Wotton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Fredriksson tries to clinch up and Wotton counters with a nice uppercut. Wotton jabs Fredriksson right on the nose. Fredriksson blinks but takes it well. Fredriksson darts in trying to clinch enabling Wotton to counter with a crisp jab.

Wotton is trying to force a seperation but Fredriksson has the dominant position. Wotton wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Fredriksson trying to land knees to the body.

Wotton paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Henry Wotton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fredriksson closes the distance but Wotton moves to the side and Wotton counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fredriksson tries to clinch and Wotton counters with a nice uppercut. Fredriksson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Wotton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Nice takedown defense from Wotton. No joy for Fredriksson on that attempt. Fredriksson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wotton pinned against the cage. Wotton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wotton lands a slapping body shot.
Wotton lands with an uppercut that bounces Fredriksson off the cage and back into range. Fredriksson darts in trying to clinch and Wotton counters with a nice uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wotton throws a wild body kick that Fredriksson sees coming a mile off. Fredriksson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wotton to the mat! Wotton manages to get full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Wotton wants to get back to his feet but Fredriksson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Fredriksson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wotton swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wotton is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Fredriksson tries to free his leg and advance position but Wotton is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Henry Wotton dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
The fight stays on the outside here - Fredriksson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Fredriksson moves into range and clinches up with Wotton. Fredriksson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Wotton lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Fredriksson backwards. Wotton has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Wotton is trying to force a seperation but Fredriksson has the dominant position. Wotton tries to circle away but Fredriksson has him pinned against the cage. Wotton is trying to break the clinch but Fredriksson is controlling him. Wotton breaks the clinch.
Fredriksson shoots in and bounces Wotton off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

A jab from Wotton does it's job there. Fredriksson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Fredriksson there as he acknowledges the shot. Wotton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Fredriksson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Good exchange - Wotton coming out on top. Wotton getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wotton takes a swing at Fredriksson's ribcage but misses. Wotton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Fredriksson moves in looking to clinch but Wotton pushes him off. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fredriksson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wotton tries to avoid it but Fredriksson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wotton to the ground. Wotton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucas Fredriksson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fredriksson tries to clinch up but Wotton circles away and keeps his distance. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wotton lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Fredriksson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Fredriksson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Wotton lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Wotton circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Fredriksson drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Wotton follows Fredriksson to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Belfort throws a strike but Doe rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Doe decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Belfort, up you get! Belfort gets a double leg takedown into Doe's guard. Belfort wants to pass the guard but Doe is keeping the position.

Belfort working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Belfort is looking to advance position but Doe has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Doe sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Belfort is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Belfort is looking to advance position but Doe has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Doe controlling the pace for now.

Doe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vitor Belfort. That's going to take a lot out of him. Belfort looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Doe is fending him off so far but Belfort persists. Nope, Doe circles away and we're back to standing. A momentary lapse in concentration from Doe enables Belfort to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Doe manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Belfort throwing strikes from guard but Doe blocks nicely. Belfort is fighting to break Doe's control of his arms but Doe is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Doe has his feet on Belfort's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Doe scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Doe wants it to stay on the feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Belfort gets tackled into the cage by Doe. Doe maintains the clinch. Doe is defending well against a takedown attempt. Doe has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Belfort uses from the top position. Vitor Belfort overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Belfort trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Doe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Belfort's guard. Doe gets to his feet. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Belfort feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Doe controlling the position. Belfort stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Doe swivels though and keeps the full guard. Doe utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Belfort being controlled here momentarily. Belfort postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Belfort tries for a takedown but Doe circles away easily and Doe counters with a nice low kick that buckles Belfort's knee momentarily. That kick from Doe tenderised Belfort's leg. Belfort is trying to keep his angry face on. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Doe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Belfort has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Doe is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Doe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Belfort misses with a takedown attempt and Doe counters with a head kick. That will keep Belfort thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Doe plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Doe closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Belfort to the mat! Belfort manages to get full guard. Doe won't allow Belfort to get back to his feet. Belfort is wriggling around but Doe manages to pass to half guard.
Belfort tries to kick Doe off but Doe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Doe gets to his feet - back to striking we go! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Doe gets a clinch. A short right from Doe on the inside. Doe breaks the clinch.

Belfort looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Belfort with a lazy takedown attempt and Doe counters with a good, hard body kick but Belfort shrugs it off. Doe pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Doe lands a head kick. Belfort smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Doe closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Belfort quickly recovers to half guard. Doe wants to stand but Belfort has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Doe stops Belfort from getting back to his feet.
Doe takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. John Doe wasn't active enough on the ground. Doe forces Belfort back against the cage and clinches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doe stops a takedown attempt from Belfort.
Doe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Belfort takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Doe closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Belfort wants to get back to his feet but Doe drags him back down. Doe stands up and beckons Belfort to his feet. Doe drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Doe stops Belfort from standing up. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Doe gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Belfort tries to keep at a distance but Doe has taken the fight into the clinch. Doe manages to break the clinch.
John Doe is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Belfort fails with a takedown attempt. Doe shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Doe can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Belfort is looking to escape. Belfort is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Doe trying to control but he's not successful this time. Doe won't let Belfort get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
And that's the end of the fight! John Doe comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Doe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slim fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Beddoe avoids it really well and circles away. Slim tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Beddoe swivels and escapes. Slim misses with a takedown attempt - Beddoe sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Darko on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Darko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Darko has closed the distance and engaged Bowman in a clinch.

Nathan Bowman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donnie Darko. Bowman has Darko pushed against the cage. That sent Darko stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Bowman rushes Darko and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Darko can't get the takedown.

Darko closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Bowman wants to get back to his feet but Darko drags him back down. Bowman is looking to reverse the position. Darko creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Bowman wants to get back to his feet. Bowman is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Darko off and has taken his back! Darko defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.

Darko working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bowman's head. Bowman wants to get back to his feet but Darko is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Darko postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Darko trying to control but Bowman is working from the bottom. Darko lands a couple of elbows. Darko with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Bowman working for a triangle but Darko defends it easily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pound fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Pound comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Pound keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Nobis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pound sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nobis somewhat. Nobis ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Nobis gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Nobis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pound as he jumps to the side. Ground Pound has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Nobis. A slapping leg kick lands for Pound.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nobis shoots in for a takedown but Pound shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nobis shoots for a double leg takedown but Pound sprawls well. He's pushed Nobis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Pound fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nobis has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Pound lands a right hook to the body.

Pound avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Ground Pound is winning the standup battle so far. Pound is looking to slow Nobis down with leg kicks. Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Pound screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
