The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fire has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Fire there as he acknowledges the shot. Garcia shoots in for a takedown but Fire shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Fire shoots in for a double leg but Garcia sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Garcia throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fire. Garcia connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Fire's hands. Garcia misses with a few strikes there.

Honeywood fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Li avoids it really well and circles away. Honeywood throws a head kick but Li moves out of range.
Li is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Honeywood closes this distance looking for a takedown but Li circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pleas Honeywood. That's going to take a lot out of him. Honeywood fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. The fight stays on the outside here - Li looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Honeywood misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Li has hold of Honeywood's hands but Honeywood slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Honeywood uses his free foot to push down on Li's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Li. Li really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Honeywood. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Li looks gassed! Honeywood is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Li can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Hong Li is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Honeywood throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Li tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Li slips a straight right by Honeywood. A cross from Honeywood lands. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Li crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Honeywood - the referee stops the clock and Li gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Honeywood. Li manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Li is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Li fails with an attempt to clinch.
Honeywood fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Li tries to close the distance and clinch up but Honeywood swats him away and circles back towards the center. Honeywood shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Honeywood has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Li is looking to improve his position.

Honeywood lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Honeywood slips a nice elbow through Li's hands, connecting with Li's forehead. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zod leaves Matter with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Zod throws out a loose jab but Matter uses good head movement to avoid it. Zod lands a jab to the head.
Zod connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Matter shoots in for a double leg but Zod sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Zod scores with a punch to the head. Matter avoids the body shot from Zod.
Matter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zod paws at him with a jab and circles away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zod lands a jab to Matter's midsection. Zod moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Matter misses with a two punch combination.
Matter moves forwards but Zod connects with a nice, crisp jab. Nice cross by Zod. Zod is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Nice defenses there by Matter. Zod avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Matter misses with a takedown attempt - Zod sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. General Zod has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dark Matter. Zod lands an overhand right.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zod displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Matter. Zod takes a swing at Matter's ribcage but misses. Matter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Matter shoots in for a double leg but Zod sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Zod is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Matter shoots in for a takedown but Zod shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Matter fails with a takedown attempt. Zod with a nice cross. General Zod is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Zod swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Zod fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Horrible takedown by Matter or perhaps it was just good defense by Zod which made him look bad. Zod punishes Matter's body with a nice straight punch. Matter looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zod plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Matter swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Matter face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!

Freeman is rocked! Steele cracks Freeman with a hook to the temple - Freeman is on wobbly legs here! Steele swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Freeman falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Steele wins by TKO!

Harvey Holcomb is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Holcomb is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. McMichaels tries to move into range but Holcomb moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. McMichaels throws a hook to the side of Holcomb's head but Holcomb sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. McMichaels lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. McMichaels misses with a looping right. Holcomb cracks McMichaels with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McMichaels throws a looping overhand right but Holcomb ducks down to avoid it. McMichaels throws a series of punches but Holcomb avoids them all with ease. McMichaels throws a head kick that misses. McMichaels needs to keep his hands up - Holcomb had a free shot at his head there. Holcomb doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. A jab-cross combination lands for Holcomb and sends McMichaels crashing to the mat! Holcomb follows him down to the mat - McMichaels regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet! Holcomb wants to free his trapped foot but McMichaels is holding on for dear life with his legs. Holcomb content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Holcomb stands up and beckons McMichaels to join him on the feet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! McMichaels misses with a hook to the body

McMichaels tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Holcomb was well out of range. Poor timing from McMichaels. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McMichaels moves out of range as Holcomb strikes. McMichaels ducks under a wild hook from Holcomb. Holcomb thuds his right hand into McMichaels's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. McMichaels throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. A combination from Holcomb does no damage. Holcomb throws a hook but McMichaels blocks it. Holcomb throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McMichaels sees it coming and avoids it easily. Holcomb takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Holcomb takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Holcomb misses with a looping right. McMichaels misses with a wild body shot. Holcomb looks to land a left hand but McMichaels moved out of range nicely. Holcomb misses with a left hand and McMichaels counters with a flying knee. Nice. Holcomb steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McMichaels.
That's one minute gone in the round. McMichaels fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Holcomb avoids it really well and circles away. McMichaels lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. McMichaels shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. McMichaels lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Holcomb here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. McMichaels lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. McMichaels throws a combination that misses and McMichaels takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. McMichaels misses with a head kick.

McMichaels is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Holcomb lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as McMichaels backs up against the cage.

McMichaels is rocked! Holcomb is pushing down on McMichaels's leg trying to pass to half guard. McMichaels is fighting to maintain full guard but Holcomb has managed to sneak the leg through. McMichaels is still in real trouble! Can Holcomb finish him? Holcomb will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Holcomb decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. McMichaels misses with a wild body shot. Crack! Holcomb connects with the perfect overhand right and McMichaels falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Holcomb!
