Korczewski kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Gravediggaz - 1-800 Suicide . Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

This could be trouble! No, Williams has managed to free his arm - good work. Still in half guard, Sykes seems content to control. Sykes wants to work for an arm triangle but Williams is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arpa throws a head kick that misses. Taylor misses with a takedown attempt and Arpa counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Arpa closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Jackson Taylor has been cut. Taylor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Arpa moves away. Taylor blocks a head kick by Arpa.
A low kick from Arpa is predictable there and Taylor counters with a nice double leg into side control. Arpa won't be happy with that. This has been an exciting period of action! Taylor is looking to take a break and control but Arpa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Taylor wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Arpa, who protects the arm well. Arpa looks to move to half guard but instead Taylor has passed into mount! Damn!

Taylor moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Arpa has worked his arm free - good work by Arpa!
Arpa wants to get back to his feet but Taylor drags him back down. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Taylor looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Taylor is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Arpa's shoulder. That is not cool.

Taylor with a nice cross. Taylor stuns Arpa with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Arpa throws a chopping leg kick but Taylor manages to avoid taking any serious damage. A head kick misses from Arpa. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Taylor cracks Arpa with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A looping hook to the body misses from Taylor. Arpa does a little dance to reset his feet. Arpa jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tolonen scores with a jab to the body. Ungar misses with a low kick.
Tolonen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ungar manages to avoid it. Ungar lands a big head kick that sends Tolonen tumbling to the mat! Ungar takes a step backwards and waves Tolonen back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Ungar is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Tolonen is looking to advance position but Ungar won't allow it. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Tolonen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ungar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Viiksi Tolonen wasn't doing enough on the ground. Ungar looks to score with a jab to the body but Tolonen is just out of range. Ungar has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Tolonen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tolonen moves out of range as Ungar strikes. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tolonen is defended easily by Ungar. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Viiksi Tolonen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tolonen shoots for a double leg takedown but Ungar sprawls well. He's pushed Tolonen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ungar drops Tolonen with a beautiful combination! Tolonen stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ungar is looking for the KO! Tolonen on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Tolonen is rocked! Ungar keeps Tolonen at a distance using the push kick. Oh Tolonen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Ungar has cracked Tolonen with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Ungar lands another huge swinging hook and Tolonen tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Tolonen, before Ungar can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Stu Ungar! Stu Ungar is the new heavyweight champion! After winning the bout, Stu Ungar thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
