Lok shoots in looking for a takedown. Brunson tries to sprawl out of it but Lok keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brunson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Lok fails with the takedown. Lok throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brunson's waist but Brunson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lok off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Lok. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brunson lands with an uppercut that bounces Lok off the cage and back into range.

Lok is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Brunson has managed to free his arm - good work. This has been an exciting period of action! Lok is keen to just control but Brunson is a slippery customer. Lok thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Brunson is refusing to be controlled, as Lok sits in half guard.

and Lok counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Brunson is lucky that one didn't land flush. Brunson is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Brunson lands with a shot to the body. Brunson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lok. Greg Brunson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brunson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

 It looks like Rai Satele has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tiv misses with the combination.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Davis moves out of range easily. Davis fails with the takedown. Davis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A combination from Davis does no damage. Smith moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Smith looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Davis trying to control but Smith postures up.

 Paul Smith has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Smith drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Smith tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Smith has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Davis wants to control but Smith postures up. Smith works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Smith wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Davis, who protects the arm well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
 The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Smith thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Smith wants to control but Davis is keeping him busy.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis is looking to regain half guard here but Smith keeps moving and retains side control. Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Davis keeps working. Davis tries to bench press Smith off him but Smith keeps the position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Smith looking for a sweep. Not yet Smith, not yet. Davis is working Smith over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Dddddd shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dddddd was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Dddddd looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. King is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
King is looking to get to half guard. Dddddd has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. King wants to control but Dddddd is having none of it.
Dddddd has hold of King's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and King manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jim Dope! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Price tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Dope manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Price misses with a head kick.
Price tries to clinch up but Dope circles away and keeps his distance. Dope shoots in for a takedown but Price shows good takedown defense. Price tries to clinch but Dope moves out of range.
Dope throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Price was covering up waiting for the punch and Dope finishes the takedown easily into guard. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Price wants it to stay on the feet. Trevor Price has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Dope is looking to work some ground and pound but Price has wrist control. Dope throws a strike but Price rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.  We're going to have a standup here because Trevor Price wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. A good leg kick by Price. Price throws a push kick but Dope slaps the foot to one side. Dope fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Price fails in his attempt to clinch. Dope looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Price is fending him off so far but Dope persists. Nope, Price circles away and we're back to standing. Trevor Price has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Dope. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dope chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Price can pounce on him.
Price closes the distance looking to clinch and Dope makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
