The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Washburn. Washburn moves out of range of the body kick. Washburn moves forwards but Doom connects with a nice, crisp jab. A low kick from Doom misses and Washburn counters by moving into the clinch. Doom misses with a short punch on the inside. Doom stalling in the clinch but Washburn improves position. Doom lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Washburn backwards. Washburn is trying to pull guard but Doom turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Doom lands a body shot. Washburn jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Doom walks away with a smile on his face. Washburn gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Jacob Doom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zoe Washburn. Doom throws a body punch but Washburn moves out of range.
