Takanawa throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Otool was covering up waiting for the punch and Takanawa finishes the takedown easily into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Takanawa tries to free his leg and advance position but Otool is retaining full guard.

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yusuke Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asiong Salonga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nakamura comes to the cage accompanied by Oy, to ne vecher. Asiong Salonga struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Nakamura just misses with a punch to the body.
Salonga shoots in for a double leg but Nakamura sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Salonga counters with a crisp one two that drops Nakamura! Salonga thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Nakamura to his feet! Nakamura is in big trouble!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nakamura dives in and scores a takedown into Salonga's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Nakamura seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
