The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Shadow.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Holtz is defended easily by Shadow.

Shadow tries a head kick but it misses.

Holtz takes the fight into the clinch.

Champion throws a front kick aimed at Arlovski's knee but Arlovski avoids it well.
Arlovski fails to land with a series of punches.
Arlovski tries to bum rush Champion with a series of wild strikes but Champion uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Oooh a lovely combination from Arlovski sends Champion down but not out. Arlovski dives into side control looking to finish.

It looks like Lance Champion has been cut.
Champion should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Champion takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Arlovski avoids the body shot from Champion.

Petkov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as rashad sprawls well. rashad wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Petkov gets slowly back to his feet.

rashad feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
