Luke Eagles had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 172.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Klashkinov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Akinfeev sprawls well. Akinfeev wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Klashkinov gets slowly back to his feet.

Akinfeev cracks Klashkinov with an uppercut from hell and Klashkinov crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Akinfeev's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Akinfeev is pushing down on Klashkinov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Klashkinov is fighting to maintain full guard but Akinfeev has managed to sneak the leg through.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Akinfeev connects with a nice short shot to Klashkinov's temple.
