The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creed misses with a takedown attempt

and Shango counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Creed manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shango manages to get himself to full guard.
Shango wants to stand up but Creed is controlling him.
Creed scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Creed trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Shango wants to stand and escape but Creed is having none of it.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Shango enables Creed to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shango manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

That was a close round but I would say that Vinny Shango will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Creed looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shango with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Vinny Shango overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Creed is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Shango's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Davids has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ladin finds it's way round the side to connect with Davids's head.

and Ladin counters with a head kick that drops Davids to the mat! Davids scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Davids loses concentration momentarily and Ladin pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Davids crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Ladin finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
