The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunn is looking to chop away at Starn's legs. Starn looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Starn steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gunn. Starn lands with a thumping leg kick.
Gunn changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Starn looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gunn tries to advance to mount but can't. Gunn lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Starn down.
Gunn is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Starn has escaped the position, nice work there. Gunn wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Starn, who protects the arm well. Gunn working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Starn is not content to let Gunn control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Starn takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Gunn is working to tighten is grip on Starn's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Starn has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Gunn is really squeezing tight and eventually Starn passes out! Gunn breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akinfeev cracks Klashkinov with an uppercut from hell and Klashkinov crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Akinfeev's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
It looks like Floyd Klashkinov has been cut. Akinfeev stands and throws Klashkinov's legs to the side, diving into side control. Akinfeev in side control lands a decent elbow.
