The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buds leaves Jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Buds circles away.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Buds as he avoids it easily.
Sticky Buds has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Jones.
Jones doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Buds thows a body shot but no joy.
Jones shoots for a takedown but Buds saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Buds rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jones uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Buds.

Jones clinches up against the cage.
Jones prevents Buds from breaking the clinch.
Buds wants to get back to striking at distance but Jones won't allow it.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Buds circles away.

Buds throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The fighters circling - Buds throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jones throws a head kick that misses.
Buds lands a head shot.
Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Buds which made him look bad.
Jones closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
A big left from Buds misses.

Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Buds moves out of range easily.

Jon Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Buds lands with an uppercut that bounces Jones off the cage and back into range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Buds.

Buds lands a big shot that drops Jones! Can he finish him?

Jones has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Buds off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Jones looks for a takedown but Buds sprawls well.

Jones is trying desperately to land a takedown but Buds is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Jones.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A looping hook to the body misses from Buds. Jones does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jones shoots for a takedown but Buds saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Buds lands a lovely overhand right.
Buds throws a right and a left that both miss.

Jones is holding his hands too far apart here. Buds throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Jones is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!

Cole comes to the cage accompanied by The Offspring - Why Don't You Get A Job. On his way into the cage it seems that Norris Cole has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Norris Cole seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doom tries to close the distance and clinch but Cole swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Doom lands the left hand.

Cole drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Doom not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Doom looking to control but Cole passes into half guard.
Doom is controlling Cole's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Doom wants to get back to his feet.
Cole has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Doom stops Cole from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cole is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Doom has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Doom really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cole. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cole is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Doom can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Cole trying to control but Doom is having none of it.
Cole is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Doom is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Doom is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.

Cole is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Doom has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cole can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Doom is looking to escape.

Cole wants to finish this one by submission but Doom is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cole.

Cole has control of Doom's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Doom regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Doom is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Cole locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Doom is forced to tap!

Brown looks to land a combination but Sudoka avoids it well.
Brown tries to land a leg kick but Sudoka saw it coming and moves away.

Brown gets caught napping as Sudoka dives in and scores a takedown. Brown manages to retain guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sudoka trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Sudoka is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Brown is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Brown has escaped and now he's on top!

Brown avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Brown is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sudoka has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Brown is looking to defend but Sudoka has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Brown! Sudoka pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Brown taps out and this one is all over!

Velasquez has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mcgee clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Mcgee trying to control the position but Velasquez manages to sink in the hooks.
Mcgee manages to reverse the position and now he's in Velasquez's guard. Nice work there by Mcgee.

Puruhat avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Puruhat moves away from the strike by Thompson.

Puruhat shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
