The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duggan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gracie tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Duggan is in Gracie's guard. Gracie has his foot on Duggan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Duggan works his way back into a safe position though. Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Gracie avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Smashley. Gracie is looking to control Smashley's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gracie avoid being mounted? Gracie keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Gracie tries to roll over but Smashley keeps him under control. Smashley lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Gracie actively working from the bottom here. Gracie has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Smashley escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Smashley! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. Thanu tries to close the distance and clinch but Roswell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Roswell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Thanu closes the distance but Roswell moves to the side and Roswell counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Thanu's guard now. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Roswell looking to pass the guard. Roswell wants to control from the top but Thanu keeps moving. Roswell postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Thanu is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Roswell, into his guard.

Roswell is looking to sinch up a triangle. Thanu throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Roswell's body to avoid the submission. Roswell has instead reached around Thanu's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Roswell arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Krickt closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bruno circles away. Bruno shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Krickt counters with a two punch combo. Krickt lets go of the hold and Bruno can pop his arm back in it's socket.

It looks like Poro Nussija has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nussija throws a low kick but Voll avoids it. Oh Nussija is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! That kick from Nussija tenderised Voll's leg. Voll is trying to keep his angry face on. Nussija tries to clinch up and Voll counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.

Ganga cracks Peippo with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Ganga throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Peippo sees it coming and avoids it easily. Peippo throws the kick towards the body but Ganga avoids it. Ganga takes a jab right on the kisser.

Peippo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
