The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tuck throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jones on the side of the head.
Tuck swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.
Jones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jones slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Gatto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Weidman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Weidman has chosen I Won't Back Down as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rocky Gatto had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. This should be a great matchup!

Juan Velazquez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Alvarez.
Velazquez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Alvarez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Velazquez tries to avoid it but Alvarez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Velazquez to the ground. Velazquez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Velazquez Throws a clean left jab. Velazquez Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Alvarez's chin! Alvarez crumbles to the ground and Velazquez follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Velazquez!
