Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rex Sedo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Spitteri! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Sergei Dronov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sedo throws a nice head kick!
Sedo throws a nice outside leg kick. Sedo lands with a kick to the temple. Spitteri shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Spitteri closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Spitteri working the ground and pound but Sedo is defending the strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sedo is looking for a sweep. This has been an exciting period of action! Sedo defending against the ground and pound. Spitteri misses with the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spitteri throws an elbow but Sedo slips to the side and avoids it well. Check out the look on Spitteri's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Spitteri looks up at the clock and then as Sedo takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Spitteri smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Sedo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sedo taking punishment in the form of punches.
Sedo tries to improve position but can't. Spitteri lands a decent elbow from side control.
It looks like Rex Sedo has been cut. Spitteri has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Spitteri lands a big uppercut and Sedo crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Sedo looks OK. Spitteri waves Sedo back to his feet!
Sedo is rocked! Spitteri scores with a jab to the body. Oh Sedo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Sedo is breathing heavily. Spitteri with a dominant takedown and that's winded Sedo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spitteri gets to his feet and stands over Sedo, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Sedo felt that one! Spitteri unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Sedo from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sean Spitteri! After winning the bout, Sean Spitteri thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dobbler throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A big left from Dobbler misses. Dobbler is looking to land body kicks. Dobbler pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Nevsky slips under a jab. Dobbler swinging wildly here.
Nevsky misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Nevsky takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Dobbler attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dobbler takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Nevsky takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Dobbler misses the jab. Dobbler misses with a wild body shot. Dobbler swings for the body but Nevsky moves out of range.
Nevsky avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Nevsky drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Nevsky tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nevsky has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dobbler tries to escape but Nevsky is in control. Nevsky is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dobbler knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Dobbler is trying to get back to his feet. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dobbler is not content to let Nevsky control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nevsky swings around for an armbar but Dobbler sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Nevsky's guard. Nevsky pushes Dobbler off and scrambles back to his feet.
Dobbler waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Nevsky. Dobbler connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Dobbler misses with a double jab.
Dobbler works Nevsky's body with a nice hook. Nevsky takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dobbler throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dobbler scores with a nice head shot. Dobbler feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Nevskys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dobbler misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nevsky.
Dobbler throws a series of punches but Nevsky avoids them all with ease. Dobbler misses with a looping right. Lloyd Dobbler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dobbler swings for the body but Nevsky moves out of range.
Dobbler stalks Nevsky and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Nevsky's face. Nevsky staggers backwards, shaken. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lloyd Dobbler dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Nice sprawl there from Dobbler as Nevsky shoots in. Dobbler misses with a few strikes there.

Dobbler lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Dobbler throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A looping hook to the body misses from Dobbler. Nevsky does a little dance to reset his feet. Nevsky doesn't succeed with the takedown and Dobbler counters with a thumping low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dobbler thows a body shot but no joy. Dobbler tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nevsky was well out of range. Poor timing from Dobbler. A lazy left from Dobbler finds it's target. Nevsky ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Dobbler changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Dobbler will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dobbler throws a leg kick but Nevsky sees it coming and checks it nicely. Nevsky feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Nevsky won't allow Dobbler to get back to his feet. Nevsky trying to control the position from guard on top but Dobbler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nevsky displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dobbler throws out the jab. Dobbler throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lloyd Dobbler is winning the standup battle so far. An inside leg kick lands from Dobbler. Nevsky shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dobbler but Dobbler pushes him off and we're back to square one. Lloyd Dobbler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexandr Nevsky.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nevsky uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dobbler. Nevsky tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Dobbler thows a body shot but no joy. Nevsky drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
It looks like Alexandr Nevsky has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dobbler displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nevsky. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dobbler dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nevsky. That did some damage! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lloyd Dobbler dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Alexandr Nevsky's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Dobbler stuffs the takedown attempt from Nevsky. Nevsky gets slowly back to his feet. Nevsky gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dobbler counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Nevsky avoids the body shot from Dobbler.

Nevsky takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Dobbler jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dobbler. Nevsky does a little dance to reset his feet. Dobbler throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nevsky. Nevsky gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Dobbler misses with a wild body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nevsky gets a takedown into half guard. Dobbler blocking the ground and pound attempt from Nevsky. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nevsky is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nevsky wants to pass the guard but Dobbler is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nevsky wants to control but Dobbler is keeping him busy. Nevsky looking for a submission but Dobbler manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Dobbler wants to get back to his feet but Nevsky is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Dobbler has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Nevsky off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Dobbler looks to land a left hand but Nevsky moved out of range nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nevsky keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dobbler ducks down and throws a hook to the body. A telegraphed right hand from Dobbler misses the target. Dobbler throws a body punch but Nevsky moves out of range. Nevsky decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Nevsky is looking to pass Dobbler's guard but actually Dobbler recovers to full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dobbler uses the cage to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Lloyd Dobbler showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dobbler, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simpson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Kalinin takes a shot right to the bread basket. Good shot there by Simpson. Kalinin throws a nice looking combination but Simpson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Simpson throws a big shot that misses. Kalinin throws a head kick but Simpson moves out of range.

Kalinin shoots in looking for a takedown but Simpson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kalinin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Simpson is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Simpson moves into range and connects with a jab. Simpson closes the distance and lands a one-two. Simpson swings for the body but Kalinin moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kalinin shoots in for a takedown but Simpson shows good takedown defense. A slow jab from Simpson misses its intended target. Simpson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kalinin sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kalinin drops his hands momentarily and Simpson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Ruslan Kalinin's cut is getting worse. Simpson throws a series of punches but Kalinin moves out of range. Kalinin takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kalinin is rocked! Simpson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Kalinin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. This has been an exciting period of action! Kalinin with a poor takedown and Simpson counters with a lead uppercut that lands right on the button! Kalinin goes down! Will Kalinin beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's up! No problem. Let's get back to the action! Oh Kalinin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ruslan Kalinin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kalinin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Simpson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kalinin seems to have got his legs back now. Simpson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Simpson drops Kalinin with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kalinin looks back up at him and smiles so Simpson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Ruslan Kalinin's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Kalinin walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Simpson swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!

Costa is looking to regain half guard here but Westerlund keeps moving and retains side control. Costa can't do much from the bottom here. The strikes coming from Westerlund are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Costa is trying to improve his position. Costa is working hard here to advance position. Westerlund landing a few strikes. Costa stops Westerlund from passing to mount. Costa parries the strikes from Westerlund easily there. Westerlund is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Costa to escape.

Westerlund just trying to survive but Costa is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Costa tries to get the hooks in deep but Westerlund pushed the leg off. Costa is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Westerlund is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Costa has the hooks in. Wait, no, Michaels rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Suhonen's guard! Nice work there by Michaels! Suhonen has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Michaels is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Suhonen. That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitonti drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Hex pulls Bitonti in close to prevent any damage. Bitonti is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Anthony Bitonti. Bitonti chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Bitonti throws a series of punches but Hex moves out of range. Hex does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Bitonti changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Hex checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Nice uppercut lands for Bitonti. That snapped Hex's head back.
Hex tries a low kick but Bitonti avoids it. Hex lands with a thumping leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The fighters circle momentarily. Hex darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Bitonti scores with a kick to the midsection. Bitonti just misses with a punch to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Anthony Bitonti. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bitonti, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
