The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sagara closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Sagara missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sagara in particular looking to stall.
Kantana wants to control but Sagara is keeping busy.
Sagara is controlling the pace.
Kantana tries to get to full guard but Sagara has control of the leg.
Sagara is taking a breather. Kantana says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Bison Sagara wasn't active enough on the ground.

Sagara fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kantana to the ground. Sagara is now in Kantana's guard.

A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Xu.

and Takeshi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A punch lands to the side of Takeshi 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like Ryu Takeshi has been cut.

Takeshi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Takeshi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Xu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Takeshi on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Roger Xu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Xu with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd cheers as Xu lands an impressive looking overhand right. Takeshi doesn't seem phased though.

Takeshi blocks a head kick by Xu.
Xu shoots for a double leg takedown but Takeshi sprawls well. He's pushed Xu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Xu circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Takeshi drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Xu follows Takeshi to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
