The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lilke shoots in and bounces al Thor off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Lilke trying to control the position from guard on top but al Thor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
al Thor pulls Lilke in close to his closed guard and prevents Lilke from doing any damage or advancing position.

Wheeliams closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Penn is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

and Johnson counters with a three punch combo that has Master backing up. Master nods at Johnson to acknowledge the strikes.
Master really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Johnson moves into the clinch successfully.

Master has hold of one of Johnson's legs. Johnson is fighting the takedown attempt but Master gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet.

Master drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Master jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Master is pushing down on Johnson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Johnson is fighting to maintain full guard but Master has managed to sneak the leg through.
Johnson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Master is working away from the top position though.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Mondello has cracked Lagutin with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Mondello lands another huge swinging hook and Lagutin tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Lagutin, before Mondello can land any more shots!
