Gabz Severi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sloppy strikes from Severi. Those never looked like landing.
Harris misses with a combination
and Severi counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Harris off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Severi follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Harris was out before he hit the floor.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nowak changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Booth tries to avoid it but Nowak manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Booth to the ground. Booth escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Booth throws a right and a left that both miss.
Lukasz Nowak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nowak shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Booth counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Booth.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Booth lands a couple of elbows.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Booth's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Booth slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Booth scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nowak looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Booth works over Nowak with some ground and pound from guard.

Booth drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Booth jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Booth keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Nowak's head.
Nowak throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Booth lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Nowak! More strikes land and this one is all over! Booth jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A looping hook to the body misses from Hunt. Onatop does a little dance to reset his feet.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Onatop crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hunt - the referee stops the clock and Onatop gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hunt. Onatop manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Hunt lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Onatop on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Crunch! Hunt slams his shin into Onatop's torso.
Onatop takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Hunt scores with a decent looking hook.
Onatop is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Onatop throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hunt.
Hunt wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hunt lands a leg kick that knocks Onatop off balance momentarily.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hunt.
Hunt throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Onatop on the side of the head.
Hunt is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Onatop had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

A head kick by Hunt - that's a beauty! Onatop is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Hunt can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
