Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wes Ward!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Miller!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward throws a leg kick which misses Miller's front leg but catches the back leg as Miller tries to avoid it.
Ward fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ward tries to clinch but Miller is having none of it.
Ward swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ward throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ward lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Miller circles away quickly and effectively.
Ward misses with the combination.
Ward rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Miller moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ward.
Ward throws a sloppy head kick and Miller moves out of range easily.

Ward is breathing heavily.
Left hook, right uppercut from Miller.
Miller is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Ward misses with a double jab.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ward looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ward swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Miller drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Miller postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miller lands a couple of elbows.
Ward can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Miller controls the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jason Miller wasn't active enough on the ground.
Miller uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ward.

Ward fails with the takedown

and Miller counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ward's guard now.
Miller is stalling in the full guard.
Miller keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ward's head.

Miller tries to free his leg and advance position but Ward is retaining full guard.

Miller not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Miller is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Miller is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Miller postures up and lands a big shot to Ward's brow.

and Truong counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Truong swats away the attempt to clinch by McNier.
Truong misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

McNier dives in and scores a takedown into Truong's guard.
McNier tries to free his leg and advance position but Truong is retaining full guard.
McNier has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Truong is proving hard to escape from.

McNier drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Truong dives on top into guard.

Truong gets to his feet. McNier looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Jeremy Truong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Truong will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McNier looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

McNier is rocked!

It looks like Justin McNier has been cut.
McNier ducks into an uppercut from Truong and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
