The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Domain. Domain swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Santos moves into the clinch. Domain tries to circle away but Santos has him pinned against the cage. Domain swings wildly with an uppercut but Santos uses good head movement to avoid it. Domain can't get the takedown.
Domain is looking to control Santos's arms but Santos gets an underhook and turns him. Now Domain has his back to the cage. Santos breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Santos pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Santos pounces like a tiger and cracks Domain with a vicious hook! Domain is down but not out! Santos follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Luan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Messi but Messi pushes him off and we're back to square one. Luan walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Messi avoids the head kick by Luan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gracie swivels and escapes. Gracie leaves Penn with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Gracie shoots in but no luck this time. Matt Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Penn shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gracie defends it nicely. Matt Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Georges Penn. Gracie shoots in for a double leg but Penn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Gracie tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Penn counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Gracie looks like he's trying to stand up.

Zero gets in close and instigates a clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Zero as Ray tries to tie him up. Ray's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Ray for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Taylo Ray. Zero doesn't manage to clinch there - Ray circles away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ray shoots in but Zero avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Taylo Ray. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ray looks for a takedown but Zero sprawls well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zero thuds a left hand into Ray's body. Ray swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Ray throws the left hand but Zero avoids the punch easily. Ray tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zero sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ray somewhat. Zero stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zero wants it to stay on the feet. Ray walks into a left hand. Zero closes the distance and clinches. A quick uppercut on the inside from Ray.
It looks like Sub Zero has been cut. Ray drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Taylo Ray. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ray has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
That's one minute gone in the round. A battle for position here, against the cage. Ray can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight. Zero missing with knees to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Zero scores with a hook to the body. Ray takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Zero swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ray. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Zero lands a left and a right that send Ray crashing to the mat, dazed. Zero thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Taylo Ray's cut is getting worse. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Zero throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Zero misses with a two punch combination.

and Zero counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Zero. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Zero breaks the clinch.
Zero closes the distance and clinches. Ray is trying to maintain a safe position but Zero gets an underhook and turns Ray into the cage. Ray throws a head punch that misses. Ray avoids the elbow strike from Zero, against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zero lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Ray trying to stall but Zero improves his position.
Zero lands an elbow that stopped Ray in his tracks for a moment. Zero using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Ray has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Zero tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ray avoids it. Ray has a couple of punches blocked by Zero.

and Zero counters with a right hand to the body. Sub Zero is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ray throws the left hand but Zero avoids the punch easily. Ray showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Zero.
Sub Zero is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Zero lands a big uppercut and Ray crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ray looks OK. Zero waves Ray back to his feet!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Zero takes the fight into the clinch. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Ray. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Zero breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Zero works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Taylo Ray's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Zero scores with a body shot.
Ray throws a lazy uppercut
and Zero counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Ray has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
