Asai keeps the fight on the outside.
Asai looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Turnham shoots for a takedown but Asai saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Turnham lands a big head kick that sends Asai tumbling to the mat! Turnham takes a step backwards and waves Asai back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Tetsuhiko Asai has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Horrible takedown by Turnham or perhaps it was just good defense by Asai which made him look bad.
Turnham tries to close the distance and clinch up but Asai swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Turnham fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Joe shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zanta sprawls well. Zanta wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Joe gets slowly back to his feet.
Zanta tries to bum rush Joe with a series of wild strikes but Joe uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Joe tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zanta swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Joe shoots in but no luck this time.
Joe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zanta's waist but Zanta gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Joe off to one side.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Kozlov has his foot on Garcia's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Garcia works his way back into a safe position though.

Garcia got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kozlov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Garcia has managed to get both his arms back between Kozlov's legs - danger averted.
