The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Convents fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Adams sprawls well initially but Convents persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Convents sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Adams defending well though.
Adams has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Convents is working away from the top position though.
Convents thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Convents throwing shots but Adams is blocking nicely.
Adams is concentrating on defense, preventing Convents from advancing position.
Adams is trying to control but can't.
Convents trying to mount his opponent but Adams defends it.

Convents is working for a kimura but Adams is defending it quite comfortably.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Adams shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Convents is trying to defend but Adams finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Convents is staying active underneath Adams, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Adams is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Adams gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Adams gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Adams apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Convents is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Adams has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Convents is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Spartacus shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Guerra sprawls well. Guerra wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Spartacus gets slowly back to his feet.

and Spartacus counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Spartacus is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Guerra's half guard.

and Spartacus connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
