4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raive Malapitan! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Utah will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Malapitan walks into a stiff left hand from Utah. Malapitan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Utah scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Utah moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Malapitan throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Malapitan tries for a takedown but Utah sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Utah lands a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Malapitan throws the kick towards the body but Utah avoids it. Utah scores with a punch to the head. Malapitan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Utah connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Raive Malapitan has been cut. Jonny Utah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raive Malapitan. Utah connects with a right hand. Malapitan shakes it off. Utah misses with a looping right. Malapitan tries to land a front kick but Utah steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Utah ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Malapitan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Malapitan throws a shot from downtown. Utah moves away and avoids it. Malapitan shoots in but no luck this time. Utah misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Malapitan.
Jonny Utah is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Utah looks to land a combination. Malapitan sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Utah lands a nice shot that snaps Malapitan's head back.
Malapitan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Malapitan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Malapitan ducks under a wild hook from Utah. Malapitan has his takedown stuffed and Utah cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Nice defenses there by Malapitan. Malapitan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Utah on his heels. He'll look to pass Utah's guard now, I'm sure. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Malapitan trying to control but Utah is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Utah looking for a sweep. Not yet Utah, not yet. Malapitan scoring with some ground and pound. Utah wants to get back to his feet but Malapitan is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Utah bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Malapitan's guard.

Malapitan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Utah doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Utah manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Utah has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Malapitan is proving hard to escape from. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Malapitan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The cut above Raive Malapitan's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Malapitan tries for a takedown but Utah circles away easily and Utah counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A jab lands there for Utah. Malapitan gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Malapitan is rocked! Malapitan walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Utah swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pantilones paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Pantilones missing with a left hand there. Penn was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Pantilones slips under a jab. Penn slips a straight right by Pantilones. Pantilones misses with an uppercut. Penn jabbing away but nothing is landing. Pantilones throws a shot from downtown. Penn moves away and avoids it. A punch lands to the side of Pantilones 's head but he takes it in his stride. Pantilones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Penn circles away quickly and effectively. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomi misses with a body shot.
Gomi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Beef pinned against the cage. Beef gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Gomi doesn't succeed with the takedown and Beef counters with a stiff right hand. Gomi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Gomi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Beef counter with a right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tsatsu Gomi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gomi fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Beef stuffs the takedown. Gomi misses with a takedown attempt - Beef sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Gomi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Beef but Beef pushes him off and we're back to square one. Beef uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gomi.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Beef trying to control the position here. Beef sprawls well initially but Gomi persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Gomi perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Gomi is trying to control the action in half guard but Beef is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Gomi works his way into full mount! Beef tries to hold on but Gomi postures up. Gomi swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Beef is now in Gomi's guard. A big mistake from Gomi there, giving up the dominant position! That was a close second round but I would say that Tsatsu Gomi will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Gomi with a lazy takedown attempt and Beef counters with a low kick, right behind Gomi 's knee. Beef ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gomi moves away. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Beef. Gomi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Beef finds it's way round the side to connect with Gomi's head. Beef is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Gomi throws a body punch but Beef moves out of range. Beef smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gomi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Beef sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gomi somewhat. Chicken Beef is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Beef keeps Gomi at a distance using the push kick.

Beef throws a right and a left that both miss. Gomi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Beef sprawls well. Beef wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gomi has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Beef. Donk. Beef catches Gomi right on the button with a cross. Gomi will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Beef throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Beef clinches up against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Beef.

A combination from Beef does no damage. Gomi shoots in looking for a takedown but Beef manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gomi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Gomi shoots and misses and Beef counters with a leg kick. Beef thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Gomi if he has to take too many more of those.
Gomi closes the distance and clinches up with Beef, looking for a takedown. Gomi pushes Beef against the cage but Beef circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
