This has been an exciting period of action! Syroviy lands a glancing blow to the side of Kaigorodov's head. Kaigorodov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Syroviy's waist but Syroviy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kaigorodov off to one side. Horrible takedown by Kaigorodov or perhaps it was just good defense by Syroviy which made him look bad. Kaigorodov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Syroviy swivels and escapes. Eduard Syroviy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ignat Kaigorodov. Kaigorodov looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Syroviy kicks off Kaigorodov and gets to his feet. Syroviy cracks Kaigorodov with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Kaigorodov looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Syroviy finish him?
Syroviy drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Kaigorodov's head, knocking him out cold! Syroviy is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunt shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Abbott Jr as he jumps to the side. Hunt looking to score a takedown here. Abbott Jr is defending well but Hunt drives through and ends up in Abbott Jr's guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Abbott Jr preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hunt trying to control but Abbott Jr is working from the bottom. Abbott Jr not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Hunt is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Abbott Jr is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Abbott Jr has escaped and now he's on top! Hunt looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hunt is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Abbott Jr is working Hunt over from the guard. Hunt decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Hunt is still in real trouble! Can Abbott Jr finish him?
