The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hendrix avoids the head kick by Mieto.

Mieto connects with a leg kick. Hendrix looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Mieto swings for the body but Hendrix moves out of range.
Mieto throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hendrix stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Mieto lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Mieto uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hendrix. Mieto looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Mieto moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Mieto lands a jab to Hendrix's midsection. Mieto uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hendrix.

Hendrix throws a right hand that Mieto ducks under and follows up with a left that Mieto also avoids with ease. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mieto tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hendrix swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hendrix missing with a left hand there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hendrix trying to control the position from guard on top but Mieto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Aaron Hendrix hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Mieto displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hendrix. Juha Mieto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Hendrix. Mieto lands a nice looking kick to the body. Hendrix takes a step back to recover. Mieto wants to clinch up but Hendrix keeps it at a distance. Juha Mieto is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mieto paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Juha Mieto is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. A solid leg kick lands there for Mieto.
Mieto moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Hendrix will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Mieto.

Aaron Hendrix has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Both fighters circling a little - Mieto finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Mieto lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hendrix's sensitive parts. Mieto thuds his right hand into Hendrix's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Mieto throws a chopping leg kick but Hendrix manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Hendrix misses with a straight left. Hendrix getting the better of the striking in that exchange. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mieto throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Mieto ducks under a wild hook from Hendrix. Mieto connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hendrix's hands. Hendrix misses with a body shot
and Mieto counters with a thumping low kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Juha Mieto showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mieto, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Let's see what he's got on the mat. Pershiki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nye is controlling him. Nye tries to stand but Pershiki is controlling from the bottom. Nye won't allow Pershiki to get back to his feet.

Pershiki wants to stand and escape but instead Nye has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Pershiki wants to get back to his feet but Nye is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Nye gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Nye closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Pershiki is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Nye lands an elbow that stopped Pershiki in his tracks for a moment.

The referee asks Nye politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Nye prefers to stall for the moment though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nye stands up and we're back to a striking position. Nye is looking to stand up but Pershiki isn't so interested in that idea. Pershiki wants to stand but Nye has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Nye is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nye is stalling here.

Bill Nye is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Pershiki looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Nye shoots in looking for a takedown. Pershiki manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kullervo Pershiki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bill Nye. Nye rushes Pershiki and presses him up against the cage. Nye breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Pershiki throws a punch but it's blocked by Nye. Pershiki tries to land knees in the clinch but Nye avoids the damage to the body. Nye lands a good knee to the midsection. Pershiki won't want to take too many of those. Pershiki drops down looking for an ankle pick but Nye pulls his leg out and moves away.
Nye takes a swing at Pershiki's ribcage but misses. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nye is looking to clinch. Kullervo Pershiki has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pershiki takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
And that's the end of the fight! Bill Nye comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Nye has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Odeivole tries to close the distance and clinch but Karpov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Odeivole wants to clinch up but Karpov keeps it at a distance. Odeivole tries for a takedown but Karpov circles away easily and Karpov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Odeivole won't be happy with that. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. You can see the frustration on Odeivole's face as Karpov controls the position. Karpov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Karpov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Karpov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Odeivole is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Karpov working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Karpov prevents Odeivole from escaping the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Karpov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Karpov has hold of Odeivole's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Odeivole tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Karpov cranks the arm and Odeivole screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Odeivole, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Andrei Karpov! After winning the bout, Andrei Karpov thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Channell lands with an overhand left. Nice cross by Channell. Channell lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Tamonta looks to throw a body kick and Channell counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Tamonta walks into a stiff left hand from Channell. Channell throws a quick inside leg kick. Tamonta misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Channell darts in and out, connecting with a jab. A punch lands to the side of Tamonta 's head but he takes it in his stride. Channell blocks a leg kick. Tamonta rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Channell moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Channell throws a quick inside leg kick. Channell lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Tamonta takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Channell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Channell gets a double leg takedown into Tamonta's guard. Channell trying to control but Tamonta is working from the bottom. Channell working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Channell pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tamonta is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Channell avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Channell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Channell with a flurry of punches that miss. Channell lands a couple of digs. Channell pushes down on Tamonta's leg and manages to get into half guard. Tamonta tries to roll over but Channell keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tamonta has hold of Channell's hands but Channell slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Channell is working for a submission of some sort.
Channell has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Tamonta defend it? Channell steps over the head and cranks it - Tamonta is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Channell!

Shefki Kuqi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kuqi misses with a hook. Drophaminos ducked under it nicely. Kuqi fails to land with a series of punches.

Kuqi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Drophaminos moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kuqi tries to bum rush Drophaminos with a series of wild strikes but Drophaminos uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A punch combination from Kuqi misses. Kuqi is breathing heavily. Kuqi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Drophaminos circles away quickly and effectively. Kuqi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Drophaminos. Kuqi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Drophaminos doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kuqi counters with a big right hand! Oh Drophaminos is in trouble here! Kuqi follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
