The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vovichenko misses with a takedown attempt - Salsep sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Vovichenko shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Salsep as he avoids it easily. Vovichenko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Salsep moves away. Salsep tries to close the distance and clinch but Vovichenko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Vovichenko looking to land some kicks to the body here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vergara closes the distance and pushes Away back into the cage. Away is trying to drag Vergara to the mat but Vergara just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Vergara is stalling here.
Away has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Vergara avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Vergara breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Vergara throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

We're going to have a standup here because Frederico Vergara wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Vergara lands with a right hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Away avoids the head kick by Vergara.

The crowd cheers as Bronson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Fisher doesn't seem phased though. Barra uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pinto. Barra tries to clinch up but Pinto circles away and keeps his distance. Pinto jabbing away but nothing is landing. Pinto shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Pinto engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Barra controls Pinto momentarily but Pinto frees himself. Barra throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Barra has his foot on Pinto's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pinto works his way back into a safe position though. Pinto is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Pinto got a little sloppy there for a moment and Barra has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pinto has managed to get both his arms back between Barra's legs - danger averted.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruut cracks Beard with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ruut. The ref is looking closely - Ruut is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Ruut is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended.
