Mario slaps away a takedown attempt from Camren, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Mario pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mario looks for the body kick but Camren saw that one coming.
Randy Camren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Camren throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mario's waist but Mario gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Camren off to one side.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Silva is pushing down on Price's leg trying to pass to half guard. Price is fighting to maintain full guard but Silva has managed to sneak the leg through.
Price is trying to get back to full guard.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Price. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Price works his way to full guard. Good work.
Silva throws a strike but Price rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Price looking to pass the guard.

Price thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Silva pushes Price off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Price enables Silva to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Price manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Price controls Silva momentarily but Silva frees himself.
Silva wants to stand but Price has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Silva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Silva has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Price to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Silva is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Price pulls down on the head and he's put Silva to sleep! This one is all over!
