Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Funke. Funke wants to slow McDonald down by chopping away at his legs. McDonald throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Funke's head. A nice leg kick lands there from McDonald. Funke closes the distance and lands a one-two. This has been an exciting period of action! McDonald throws a head kick that Funke semi-blocks.

Funke thows a left - swing and a miss! McDonald uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Funke takes a kick to the side of the head. Funke sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. McDonald looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
McDonald throws a front kick that sends Funke stumbling back into the cage. Funke swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McDonald moves into the clinch. Funke wants to break the clinch but can't.
McDonald tries to work over Funke's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. McDonald keeps control of Funke as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. McDonald lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Funke tries to circle away but McDonald has him pinned against the cage. Funke wants to get back to striking at distance but McDonald won't allow it.

McDonald lands with a short head shot on the inside. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! McDonald lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. McDonald working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Royston McDonald dominated that round. The cut man is working on Royston McDonald's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
McDonald thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Funke if he has to take too many more of those.
Funke throws a hook but McDonald avoids it easily. Funke on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by McDonald. McDonald obviously looking to wear him down.

McDonald scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. McDonald lands with a nice body punch. A jab from McDonald does it's job there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McDonald dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
McDonald closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Funke's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McDonald wants to pass the guard but Funke is keeping the position. McDonald is looking to work some ground and pound but Funke has wrist control.

Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Funke can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as McDonald controls the pace. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Lebeng closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Russo's guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Lebeng drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lebeng jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lebeng won't allow Russo to get back to his feet.
Lebeng decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Russo, up you get!
Lebeng closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lebeng lands in his opponent's guard.
Russo pushes Lebeng off and gets back to his feet.
Russo throws a right hand that Lebeng ducks under and follows up with a left that Lebeng also avoids with ease. Russo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lebeng is fending him off so far but Russo persists. Nope, Lebeng circles away and we're back to standing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lebeng avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Russo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lebeng tries to avoid it but Russo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lebeng to the ground. Lebeng escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Russo fails to land the takedown. Chen Lebeng has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vedran Russo. Lebeng has a takedown stuffed. Vedran Russo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Russo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lebeng. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lebeng decides to return to a standing position. Lebeng shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Lebeng tries to close the distance and clinch but Russo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lebeng stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lebeng wants it to stay on the feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Mitchell looking to sit in guard and control but Del Angel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Del Angel not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Mitchell wants to stand up but Del Angel is controlling him. Del Angel slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
