Pump tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Stakanov just stands there and leans against the cage.
Stakanov is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Pump is defending well.
Stakanov tries to break free but Pump pushes him back against the cage.
Pump changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Stakanov fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Vinny Pump seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pump throws an overhand right that lands on Stakanov's shoulder, as Stakanov tries to avoid the shot.
Pump misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Pump lands a left and a right that send Stakanov crashing to the mat, dazed. Pump thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Pump throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Takurata takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Takurata, as that shot connected.

It looks like Joop Van Kopstote has been cut.
Takurata moves out of range of the strikes.
Nice uppercut there from Takurata.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Van Kopstote fails with an attempt to clinch.

Takurata drops Van Kopstote with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Van Kopstote looks back up at him and smiles so Takurata waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Takurata lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Van Kopstote circles away quickly and effectively.

Van Kopstote seems to have recovered his senses.
Takurata steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Van Kopstote.
Van Kopstote throws a looping overhand right but Takurata ducks down to avoid it.

Takurata feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Van Kopstote sprawling to the canvas! Van Kopstote rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Takurata finish him?!

That has opened up Joop Van Kopstote's cut even more.
