Smooth kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Breathe. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellis fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Ellis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kalizhnikov was covering up waiting for the punch and Ellis finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Kalizhnikov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ellis defends it easily.

Kalizhnikov has his foot on Ellis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ellis works his way back into a safe position though.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ellis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kalizhnikov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ellis on the ground.
