The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drumand throws a combination that misses
and Smeg counters with a takedown into side control.
Drumand is looking to regain half guard here but Smeg keeps moving and retains side control.
Smeg looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Smeg has hold of Drumand's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Drumand tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Smeg cranks the arm and Drumand screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Drumand, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Dove throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bancroft was covering up waiting for the punch and Dove finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Pooa looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

A looping hook to the body misses from Forsyth. Pooa does a little dance to reset his feet.

Pooa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Forsyth pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Pooa taps out and this one is all over!
