The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lilifee looks to land a body kick but Jong moved away. Lilifee thuds his shin into the meat of Jong's side. Jong avoids a kick to the body.
Lilifee throws a head kick that misses. Jong digs a good hook to Lilifee's body.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rick with a poor takedown and Liddell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Liddell lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Liddell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stark shoots in and bounces Sakumichi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Stark trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Stark trying to control but Sakumichi is working from the bottom. Sakumichi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stark is one step ahead there. Stark slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Stark won't allow Sakumichi to sweep him here. Sakumichi is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Stark trying to control but Sakumichi is working from the bottom.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sakumichi can do anything to dispel that myth. Sakumichi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Sakumichi is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Stark pulls down on the head and he's put Sakumichi to sleep! This one is all over!

15 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jik Chuyhn Jyu! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maeda blocks a head kick by Jyu.
That kick from Jyu tenderised Maeda's leg. Maeda is trying to keep his angry face on. Jyu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Maeda misses with a hook. Maeda checks the leg kick nicely there.
Jyu takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Maeda jabbing away but nothing is landing. Jyu finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Maeda moves out of range of the leg kick from Jyu. Maeda throws the left hand but Jyu avoids the punch easily. Jyu lands with a right hand. Jyu misses with a right hand and Maeda counters with a straight right hand. Jyu misses with a low kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Maeda. Jyu does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jyu fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Maeda. Maeda uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jyu.
Maeda throws a shot from downtown. Jyu moves away and avoids it. Jyu lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Maeda scores with a takedown into Jyu's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Maeda drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jyu looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jyu looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jyu! Maeda is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Jyu prevents Maeda from improving his position. Maeda manages to get to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maeda wants to sweep but no luck. Maeda escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jyu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Maeda working for a triangle but Jyu defends it easily.
This has been an exciting period of action! Maeda is looking for a triangle but Jyu pushes his legs off easily.
Maeda had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jyu defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maeda throws his legs up looking for a submission but Jyu uses it to pass to side control.
Maeda is trying to get back to half guard. Jyu is trying to get an arm triangle but Maeda is defending well. Jyu wants to control but Maeda is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Maeda is looking for a sweep. Jyu controlling from side mount. Maeda tries to get back to half guard but can't. Maeda gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Jyu tries to pass to full mount but Maeda defends it.

It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Jyu jumps into side control! Maeda manages to get back to half guard. Maeda actively working from the bottom here. Jyu is working for a submission of some sort.

Jyu trying to control from half guard but Maeda is working away. Maeda is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Jyu jumps into side control! Jyu is looking to take a break and control but Maeda is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Maeda is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Maeda manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jyu's best efforts. Maeda looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Maeda tries to get to full guard but Jyu has control of the leg. Maeda moves into full guard.
Maeda isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Jyu stacks Maeda on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Jyu! Maeda tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jyu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Jyu thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Jyu trying to control the position but Maeda is working away. Maeda is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Maeda manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Jyu gets back to full guard.

Maeda wants to pass the guard but Jyu is keeping the position. Maeda forces his way into half guard. Maeda is working for a kimura but Jyu is defending it quite comfortably.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Maeda wants to work for an arm triangle but Jyu is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mitsuyo Maeda dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

A slow jab from Maeda misses its intended target. Maeda shoots in for a takedown but Jyu shows good takedown defense. An inside leg kick from Jyu misses. Jyu bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Jyu misses with a head kick.
A low kick from Jyu is predictable there enabling Maeda to counter with a crisp jab. A clash of legs there as Maeda blocks the low kick. Maeda's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jyu connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Maeda scrambles back to his feet. Jyu scores with a leg kick.

Maeda checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Maeda jabbing away but nothing is landing. Maeda takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Jyu throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Maeda blocks a low kick nicely. Jik Chuyhn Jyu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Maeda needs to keep his hands up - Jyu had a free shot at his head there. Jyu lands with a kick to the temple. Maeda shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Jyu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Maeda moves away. Jyu lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Jyu motions for Maeda to come forward. Jyu throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maeda walks into a stiff left hand from Jyu. Jyu bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Maeda blocks a low kick nicely. Maeda dives in and grabs Jyu's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jyu pushes down on Maeda's head and hops out. Jyu throws a nice outside leg kick. Jyu throws a good cross that connects.
Maeda is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jyu sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitsuyo Maeda. That's going to take a lot out of him. Maeda tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jyu was well out of range. Poor timing from Maeda. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Maeda throws a jab but it's blocked by Jyu. Jyu throws a low kick but it's checked well by Maeda.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jyu moves away from the strike by Maeda. Jyu throws a nice outside leg kick. Maeda misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Jyu is looking to slow Maeda down with leg kicks. Jyu looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Jyu misses with a wild body shot. Jyu does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Jyu throws a solid leg kick but Maeda takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Jyu. Jyu misses with a body punch
and Maeda counters with a stiff right hand. Jyu lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Jyu ducks under a wild hook from Maeda. Jyu lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Jyu slips a jab from Maeda. Jyu scores with a nice right hand.
Jyu slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Jyu drops his hands momentarily and Maeda takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Maeda moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Jyu uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Maeda has time to react. This has been an exciting period of action! Maeda takes a swing at Jyu's ribcage but misses. Maeda checks a low kick from Jyu.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Jyu throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Maeda shoots in looking for a takedown but Jyu manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Maeda's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Maeda shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jyu but Jyu pushes him off and we're back to square one. An inside leg kick lands from Jyu. Jyu chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Jyu looks to land a body kick but Maeda moved away. Jyu lands with a slapping head kick. Jyu throws a nice inside leg kick. Maeda pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's six minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Maeda is defended easily by Jyu. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Maeda walks into a straight right hand from Jyu. Jyu throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Maeda catches Jyu with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! A leg kick checked by Maeda. Jyu with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Maeda is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Maeda loads up on a big right hand but Jyu slips the punch. Jyu throws a front kick aimed at Maeda's knee but Maeda avoids it well. Jyu misses with a low kick.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Jyu throws a low kick but Maeda avoids it. Nice uppercut lands for Jyu. That snapped Maeda's head back.
A lazy left from Jyu finds it's target. Jyu throws a right hand that Maeda ducks under and follows up with a left that Maeda also avoids with ease. Maeda is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Jyu throws a leg kick that misses. Jyu throws a leg kick and Maeda counters with a nice uppercut. Jyu throws a low kick but Maeda moves out of range easily. Jyu wants to land a leg kick but Maeda is out of range. Jyu connects with an inside leg kick. The fighters circling - Maeda throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Jyu throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Jyu defending well as Maeda loads up on a big left hand. A nice leg kick lands there from Jyu. Maeda bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Maeda tries to advance to mount but Jyu instead regains half guard.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Maeda working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Jyu's thigh. Jyu counters though and makes it back to full guard. Maeda looking to pass the guard. Maeda is working hard here to advance position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jyu is trying to keep Maeda in close.

And that's the end of the fight! Jik Chuyhn Jyu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
