West clinches up with Daniels and pushes him back against the cage. Daniels wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Daniels is looking to improve his position but West isn't that keen on the idea. Daniels seems to have got his legs back now. West controlling from the full mount. Daniels tries to lock up and control but West gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. West tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Daniels might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. West trying to control but Daniels is having none of it. West takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Daniels is working to get back to half guard.
Daniels tries to lock up and control but West gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. West lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! West won't let Daniels get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Daniels is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Daniels takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Daniels tries to reverse the position but West maintains control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Daniels tries to lock up and control but West gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. West lands a heavy elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. West is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Daniels can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Daniels tries to hold on but West pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robert West dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mika Daniels's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A nice glancing elbow lands by West. Daniels is trying to pull guard but West turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mika Daniels. That's going to take a lot out of him. West keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Daniels's efforts to push away. West keeps control of Daniels as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Daniels is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Berrera tries to land a front kick but Singh steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Berrera connects with a solid leg kick. Berrera lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Singh takes a body punch but keeps moving. Berrera chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Berrera tests Singh's chin there with a solid looking shot. Berrera lands with a slapping head kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Berrera moves out of range as Singh strikes. Singh avoids a punch combination nicely.
Danga de danga de dang - Berrera scores with a four punch combination! Berrera lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Singh really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Daws Berrera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Singh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Singh throws a body punch but Berrera moves out of range. Berrera scores with a decent looking hook. Singh tries to score with a low kick but Berrera moves his leg out of the way. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Berrera.

Berrera has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Singh misses the shot to the body. Singh is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Singh moves out of range as Berrera throws a body kick.
Singh is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Berrera. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Berrera - that will leave a mark!
Berrera lands with a nice body kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Singh takes a head kick and keeps coming.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Berrera has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Berrera and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Berrera lands a head kick. Singh smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Singh throws a head kick but Berrera moves out of range.
A head kick from Berrera lands but Singh takes it in his stride. Singh dips to his left and cracks Berrera with an uppercut! Berrera scores with a decent looking hook. Singh will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

Horrible takedown by Dallas or perhaps it was just good defense by Vader which made him look bad. Vader moves to clinch but Dallas breaks away and Dallas counters with a lovely straight right hand! Vader throws a leg kick that misses. Darth Vader seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dallas throws a leg kick but Vader checks it. Dallas keeps the fight on the outside. Vader tries to close the distance and clinch but Dallas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - Vader looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Vader looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Vader closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Vader throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Dallas's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Vader dives in looking to finish as Dallas flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Vader's strikes! Vader is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Dallas's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Dallas was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Darth Vader! Darth Vader took some time post fight to say the following; 'Wossup, ma niggas?'.

Bryant scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Bryant working away. Bryant controls the position from side control.
Bryant thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Bryant is staying tight to Young's torso, preventing him from escaping. Bryant prevents Young from escaping the position. Bryant will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bryant shoots in and drives through. Young sprawls well. Bryant is breathing heavily. Young tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
