That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Walter Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dixon closes the distance and clinches.
Dixon has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Svin avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Svin manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Dixon wants to control from the top but Svin keeps moving.
Svin has control of Dixon's left arm, preventing Dixon from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Svin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dixon drops back, looking for a kneebar! Svin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Svin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Svin!

Dixon is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Svin off and has taken his back!

Dixon is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Svin is defending well though. Dixon let's go of the attempt for now.

In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Taborda looks to land a right hand but Meyer moved out of range.
Taborda is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Meyer misses the shot to the body.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Meyer. Taborda shrugs it off though.
Taborda tries to clinch there but Meyer circles away.
Taborda with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Meyer to score with a decent uppercut.
Meyer scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Taborda defending well as Meyer loads up on a big left hand.

Taborda moves into the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Meyer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Taborda moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Meyer's corner calls for a 1-2. Meyer obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Meyer swings for the body but Taborda moves out of range.
Taborda swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Meyer lands a lovely overhand right.
Meyer misses with a wild combination.
Taborda looks to land a left hand but Meyer moved out of range nicely.
A punch lands to the side of Taborda 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Meyer fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Taborda.
Meyer shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Meyer!

It looks like Tarzan Taborda has been cut.
Taborda doesn't manage to clinch there - Meyer circles away.
Meyer thumps Taborda with a low kick.
Meyer scores with a jab. Taborda acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Taborda throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kurt Meyer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Meyer looks to throw the jab but Taborda is out of range.
No luck for Taborda with that takedown attempt.
Taborda throws a lazy right hand but Meyer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Taborda displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Meyer throws out the jab.
Meyer scores with a kick to the midsection.

Meyer lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Meyer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Taborda.
Meyer lands with a right hand.
Taborda tries to close the distance and clinch up but Meyer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Meyer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Taborda on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Meyer. Meyer obviously looking to wear him down.
Meyer jabs at Taborda's body.
Taborda lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Kurt Meyer has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
