Sands showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mendes.
Sands tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sands lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sands.

It looks like Robson Mendes has been cut.
Mendes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Sands throws a head kick that misses.

Sands lands a left and a right that send Mendes crashing to the mat, dazed. Sands thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Sands dances in with a quick combination. Mendes is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Sands snaps Mendes's head back. Mendes stumbles backwards against the cage. Sands steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Mendes's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Mendes just didn't come prepared.
