The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garcilazo rushes Fight Team and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Garcilazo. Garcilazo lands a body punch in the clinch. Fight Team blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Bjj takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Ground Fighter tries to land a leg kick but Bjj saw it coming and moves away.
Ground Fighter connects with a leg kick. Bjj looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Ground Fighter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kid checks a low kick from Winner. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kid checks a leg kick. Kid swinging wildly here.
Kid shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Winner's guard. Winner pushes Kid off and scrambles back to his feet.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Winner enables Kid to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Winner manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Kid missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Winner scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kid shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Winner manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Winner uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Kid throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kid shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Winner's guard. Kid working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kid drops back, looking for a kneebar! Winner looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Winner looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Winner! Winner decides to stand back up. Winner steps back and let's Kid get back to his feet. Winner on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Whack! Kid lands a heavy head kick that drops Winner. The ref tackles Kid to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Winner was done.

Spar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Spar tries to free his leg and advance position but Horse is retaining full guard. Spar is stalling in the full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bjj Spar. Spar throws a combination that misses and Horse counters with a three punch combo that has Spar backing up. Spar nods at Horse to acknowledge the strikes.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Horse should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
