The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva lands with a shot to the body. Alvarez tries to clinch but Silva moves away and Silva counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Silva seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Alvarez is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Konsai is sitting in close to Redeemer's body. Redeemer has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Konsai is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Konsai is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Redeemer.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomez throws a body kick that misses. A big left from WIlson misses. Gomez tries to score a power double leg takedown but WIlson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gomez somewhat. WIlson tries to clinch but Gomez moves out of range. WIlson darts in trying to clinch and Gomez counters with a takedown into side control. Gomez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. WIlson parries the strikes from Gomez easily there. Gomez is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable WIlson to escape.
Gomez stands up and we're back to a striking position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. WIlson tries to close the distance and clinch but Gomez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. No luck with that takedown attempt from Gomez. WIlson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's one minute gone in the round. WIlson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. WIlson feints and then cracks Gomez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gomez down. Gomez fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pablo Gomez. The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. WIlson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from WIlson! WIlson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Gomez sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Gomez tries to buck WIlson off but WIlson is having none of it. Gomez prevents WIlson from improving position. Gomez is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. WIlson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gomez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Gomez is staying active underneath WIlson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. WIlson passes to full mount! Gomez tries to lock up and control but WIlson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. WIlson is looking to stand but WIlson has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Gomez sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gomez is trying to control but WIlson manages to pass to mount!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gomez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Rodrigues as Lemos shoots in. Lemos lands a head kick. Rodrigues smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Lemos wants to clinch. Lemos takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Rodrigues scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. The fight stays on the outside here - Lemos looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lemos looks to land a right hand but Rodrigues moved out of range. Nice uppercut there from Rodrigues. Rodrigues cracks Lemos with a right hand to the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A head kick from Lemos lands but Rodrigues takes it in his stride. Rodrigues gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. A frustrated look appears on Lemos's face as he tries to break the clinch. Lemos tries to land knees in the clinch but Rodrigues avoids the damage to the body. Rodrigues keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lemos's efforts to push away. Rodrigues controlling the action here for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lemos wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rodrigues has him pressed against the cage. Lemos with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Rodrigues. Lemos breaks the clinch.
Rodrigues lands with a hook. Lemos tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Lemos is rocked! Lemos gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Rodrigues points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Lemos wakes up just in time to hear Rodrigues thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Fabricio Rodrigues! Fabricio Rodrigues was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dottson circles away from the clinch attempt and Dottson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Silva! Dottson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Silva's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Silva is trying desperately to improve position. Dottson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Joao Silva wasn't doing enough on the ground. Silva fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nice takedown defense from Dottson. No joy for Silva on that attempt. Dottson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Silva did well to prevent Dottson getting side control. Dottson looks gassed! Silva desperately trying to maintain half guard. Silva pushes Dottson off looking to stand but Dottson dives back in and keeps control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dottson misses with a head shot. Silva uses the momentum to regain guard. Dottson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Dottson postures up in Silva's guard and throws a big left but Silva blocks it. Silva has his feet on Dottson's thighs here. He's pushed Dottson off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Dottson screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Hugo Rossi seems to be getting the better of the standup. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Jr shoots and misses and Rossi counters with a one-two to the body. Rossi closes the distance and clinches. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Jr is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rossi gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Hugo Rossi dominated that fourth round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Rossi tries to clinch up but Jr circles away and keeps his distance. Jr with a lazy takedown attempt and Rossi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rossi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rossi lands in his opponent's guard. Rossi drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jr looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jr looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jr! Jr content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Rossi tries to bench press Jr off him but Jr keeps the position. Jr trying to control the action but Rossi is working from the bottom. Rossi struggling a bit here.

And that's the end of the fight! Hugo Rossi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rossi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
