It looks like Chiang Kai Shek has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Kai Shek is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Magnus. Oh Kai Shek is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Magnus misses the jab. Magnus ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Kai Shek is breathing heavily. A big right followed by a crushing left from Magnus knocks Kai Shek out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Sai escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sai rushes Lim and presses him up against the cage. Lim jumps into guard, dragging Sai to the mat.
Lim tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sai engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lim swings wildly with an uppercut but Sai uses good head movement to avoid it. Sai takes an elbow to the temple.

Sai is pulling down on Lim's head. It's preventing any offense from Lim, at least for the moment. Sai is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lim has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sai is proving hard to escape from. Sai is looking for a triangle but Lim pushes his legs off easily.

Vivek Sai is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Lim throwing strikes from guard but Sai blocks nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Vivek Sai comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Sai has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Raymond Blew! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akazumi shoots for a double leg takedown but Blew sprawls well. He's pushed Akazumi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Raymond Blew seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Akazumi slips a jab from Blew. Akazumi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Blew is fending him off so far but Akazumi persists. Nope, Blew circles away and we're back to standing. Blew throws the left hand but Akazumi avoids the punch easily. Akazumi dives in and grabs Blew's left leg, looking for a takedown. Blew pushes down on Akazumi's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Takeya Akazumi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Akazumi looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Blew works his way to full guard. Good work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blew keeping moving, preventing Akazumi from controlling successfully. Akazumi stopping the sweep attempt from Blew. Akazumi tries to free his leg and advance position but Blew is retaining full guard. Blew looking for a sweep. Not yet Blew, not yet. Akazumi wants to control from the top but Blew keeps moving. Akazumi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Akazumi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Akazumi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Blew looking for a sweep. Not yet Blew, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Akazumi thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Akazumi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Blew manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Akazumi has Blew in his guard. Blew with a nice head shot there. Blew throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Blew is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Blew scoring with punches to the head and body. Blew throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Akazumi works some decent striking defense from the bottom. This has been an exciting period of action! Blew landing some decent shots from guard. Akazumi is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Blew stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Akazumi swivels though and keeps the full guard. Akazumi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Blew defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blew content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Blew trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Akazumi trying to control the position.
Blew got a little sloppy there for a moment and Akazumi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Blew has managed to get both his arms back between Akazumi's legs - danger averted. Akazumi has his foot on Blew's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Blew works his way back into a safe position though. Akazumi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Blew doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Blew manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Blew working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Blew lands a couple of elbows. Akazumi throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Blew's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Blew lands a couple of elbows. Blew lands a couple of decent looking shots. Blew throws a big elbow that misses. Akazumi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Blew can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Blew connects with a couple of short punches. Blew lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Blew must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Blew working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Akazumi throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That was a close round but I would say that Takeya Akazumi will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Nice takedown defense from Blew. No joy for Akazumi on that attempt. Blew scores with a jab. Akazumi slips a jab from Blew. Blew swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Akazumi ducks under a wild hook from Blew. Blew dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Blew looks to score with a jab to the body but Akazumi is just out of range. Akazumi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Blew sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Blew throws a big shot that misses. Blew throws a jab but it's blocked by Akazumi. A telegraphed right hand from Blew misses the target. Akazumi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Blew avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Takeya Akazumi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Blew tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Akazumi was well out of range. Poor timing from Blew. The fighters circling - Blew throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Blew has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Akazumi to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Blew is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Akazumi pulls down on the head and he's put Blew to sleep! This one is all over!
