Nice takedown defense from Machida. No joy for Velilkov on that attempt.
Velilkov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Velilkov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Velilkov swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Machida is now in Velilkov's guard. A big mistake from Velilkov there, giving up the dominant position!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Velilkov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Machida gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Machida wants to stand but Velilkov is controlling his posture from full guard.
Machida has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Velilkov to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Machida is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Velilkov pulls down on the head and he's put Machida to sleep! This one is all over!
