2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bubby Brown! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyrell connects with a single shot there. Tyrell lands a lovely overhand right. Tyrell throws a nice looking combination but Brown bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Tyrell tries to keep at a distance but Brown has taken the fight into the clinch. Brown breaks from the clinch.
Tyrell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brown manages to avoid it. Brown should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Tyrell throws a leg kick but Brown moved away. Tyrell getting the better of the striking in that exchange. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brown looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tyrell is fending him off so far but Brown persists. Nope, Tyrell circles away and we're back to standing. Tyrell connects with a right hand. Brown shakes it off. Tyrell throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Brown stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Brown looks gassed! Brown shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tyrell defends it nicely. Tyrell cracks Brown with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Tyrell scores with a jab. Brown acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyrell lands a big uppercut and Brown crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Brown looks OK. Tyrell waves Brown back to his feet!
Brown is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tyrell scores with a shot to the body.
Brown is still on wobbly legs! Can Tyrell finish him? Tyrell lands an uppercut, right on the button! Brown tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mike Tyrell! Mike Tyrell decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Valentine closes the distance and pushes Napranum back into the cage. Valentine turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Valentine taking a breather here. Valentine is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Napranum knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Valentine decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valentine shoots in but no luck this time. Valentine misses with a looping right. Napranum lands a head kick!

Nice takedown defense from Napranum. No joy for Valentine on that attempt. A head kick from Napranum lands but Valentine takes it in his stride. Valentine looking to sit in guard and control but Napranum gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Valentine wants to get back to his feet but Napranum is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Valentine will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Mike Valentine's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

That could mean trouble for Napranum! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Valentine is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Napranum has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Napranum! Napranum must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valentine throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Valentine keeping moving, preventing Napranum from controlling successfully. Valentine looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Napranum puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Napranum is trying to control the action in half guard but Valentine is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Valentine is looking to control Napranum's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Valentine avoid being mounted? Napranum really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Valentine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Valentine wants to control the action here but instead Napranum manages to pass to full mount! Napranum prevents Valentine from getting the reversal. Valentine slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Valentine is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Napranum reverses the position - he's now on top in Valentine's guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Mike Valentine showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Valentine, winning every round. Will the judges agree? McGuire could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Corbett gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McGuire won't allow Corbett to get back to his feet. McGuire pushing down on Corbett's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Corbett wants to get back to his feet. Corbett has hold of McGuire's hands but McGuire slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McGuire wants to pass to mount but Corbett is defending the position. McGuire is breathing heavily. Corbett kicks McGuire off and gets back to his feet. McGuire postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McGuire is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Corbett is looking to stand up but McGuire isn't so interested in that idea. McGuire decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. McGuire fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Corbett sprawls well initially but McGuire persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGuire has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. McGuire can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Corbett is looking to escape. McGuire throwing strikes here but Corbett is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Corbett is squirming around, avoiding McGuire's attempts to control the action. McGuire with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McGuire trying to control but Corbett is having none of it. McGuire moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Corbett has worked his arm free - good work by Corbett!

McGuire is looking to take a break and control but Corbett is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. McGuire is looking for a kimura. He might have it! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Corbett. A head kick misses from Corbett. A punch combination from Corbett misses. McGuire throws a lazy head kick and Corbett counters with a series of strikes. McGuire will be more careful next time no doubt. McGuire closes the distance and pushes Corbett back into the cage. Corbett jumps guard but McGuire turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Corbett wants to break the clinch but can't.
McGuire breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. McGuire takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Corbett fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Josh McGuire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nathan Corbett. Corbett displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGuire forces Corbett back against the cage and clinches. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McGuire escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Corbett pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces McGuire back to the cage. Corbett follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Some wild striking there from Corbett.
Corbett fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Corbett lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McGuire circles away quickly and effectively. McGuire feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. McGuire stays in close to Corbett's body and controls the position. Corbett looking for subs off his back but McGuire has passed one foot through into half guard.
McGuire is figuring out what he wants to do next. Josh McGuire overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That was a close second round but I would say that Josh McGuire will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

McGuire changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Corbett looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Corbett is trying to buck McGuire off. Corbett looking for a sweep but McGuire has passed into full mount! Oh no!

McGuire takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. McGuire won't let Corbett get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McGuire is standing up, even though he is in mount. McGuire throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corbett throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Corbett throws a head kick that misses. McGuire avoids the head kick by Corbett.
Corbett gets caught flat footed, as McGuire shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. McGuire won't allow Corbett to sweep him here. McGuire stands up from Corbett's guard - McGuire perhaps looking for a knockout. Corbett throws a right hand that McGuire ducks under and follows up with a left that McGuire also avoids with ease. McGuire closes the distance and clinches. Corbett manages to pull guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bailey throws a right hand that Wild Bill ducks under and follows up with a left that Wild Bill also avoids with ease. Bailey takes a swing at Wild Bill's ribcage but misses. Bailey throws a right hand that Wild Bill ducks under and follows up with a left that Wild Bill also avoids with ease. Bailey tries to clinch up but Wild Bill circles away and keeps his distance. Bailey throws a wild body kick that Wild Bill sees coming a mile off. Bailey misses with a body kick. Wild Bill crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bailey - the referee stops the clock and Wild Bill gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bailey. Wild Bill manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Seng throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gilbert. Gilbert throws a head kick that misses. Gilbert closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Seng to the mat! Seng manages to get full guard. Gilbert stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Seng swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Seng is trying to control the position but Gilbert postures up.

Parker is trying to trip Jackson. He has hold of a leg but Jackson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Parker persists though and gets the takedown into guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Parker stays in close to Jackson's body and controls the position. Jackson working for submissions but it's allowed Parker to get to half guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flynn shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. The Raptor defends it nicely. The Raptor tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Flynn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. The Raptor wants to clinch. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Adam Eater. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Eater, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
