0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Maxwell Hickman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Randy Koture! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hickman tries to bum rush Koture with a series of wild strikes but Koture uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Koture throws an overhand right that lands on Hickman's shoulder, as Hickman tries to avoid the shot. Hickman takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Koture lands a jab to the head.
 It looks like Maxwell Hickman has been cut. Hickman walks into a straight right hand from Koture. Koture thows a body shot but no joy. Koture connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hickman's hands. Good shot there by Koture. Hickman moves away from the strike by Koture. Hickman tries for a takedown but Koture sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Hickman has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Hickman blinks but takes it well. Koture throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Koture moves into range and connects with a jab. Koture has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Hickman throws a right and a left that Koture avoids nicely. Koture misses with a jab, cross combination.
Koture bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Koture goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
 Hickman is rocked!
 That's one minute gone in the round. Hickman ducks under a wild hook from Koture. Oh Hickman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Koture is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hickman had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into p�t�. Koture misses with a straight right. Randy Koture is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hickman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Koture defends it nicely. Hickman avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Koture is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hickman. Koture circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hickman bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hickman ducks under a wild hook from Koture. Hickman ducks under a wild hook from Koture. Hickman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Koture. Koture loads up on a big right hand but Hickman slips the punch. Koture throws a lazy right hand but Hickman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Koture slaps away a takedown attempt from Hickman, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maxwell Hickman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hickman slips under a jab from Koture. Koture throws a jab when Hickman was well out of range. Hickman seems to have got his legs back now.
Koture gets caught flat footed, as Hickman shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Hickman stops Koture from standing up. Koture looks gassed! Hickman is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Hickman wants to pass the guard but Koture is keeping the position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Hickman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Maxwell Hickman.
Hickman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Hickman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Hickman is looking for a kimura here.
Hickman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Koture's head.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hickman is figuring out what he wants to do next. Hickman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hickman trying to pass the guard but Koture defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hickman in particular looking to stall.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 Maxwell Hickman has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Koture bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Koture wants to slow Hickman down by chopping away at his legs. Koture looks to score with a jab to the body but Hickman is just out of range. Hickman throws a leg kick but Koture moved away. Hickman slips under a jab from Koture. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hickman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Hickman is figuring out what he wants to do next. Hickman wants to control but Koture is keeping him busy. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Randy Koture will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Maxwell Hickman's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Koture connects with a right hand. Hickman shakes it off. Hickman moves out of range as Koture strikes. Koture throws a shot from downtown. Hickman moves away and avoids it. Randy Koture seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Koture waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hickman. Hickman misses with a head kick.
Hickman shoots in but Koture avoids the takedown attempt easily. Koture connects with a right hand. Hickman shakes it off. Nice jab there from Koture. Koture might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Good exchange - Koture coming out on top. Koture dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Randy Koture seems to be getting the better of the standup. Koture tests Hickman's chin there with a solid looking shot. Koture misses with an uppercut. The fighters circling - Koture throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Hickman bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hickman closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Koture quickly recovers to half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Hickman seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Hickman wants to pass the guard but Koture is defending well. Hickman is working hard here to advance position. Koture is in trouble now - Hickman has advanced to mount! Hickman working the ground and pound effectively.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hickman goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Koture is on top in guard.
Hickman lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Koture! Hickman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hickman scores with a couple of good head shots there.
 It looks like Randy Koture has been cut. Koture avoids a series of strikes thrown by Hickman.
Koture is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Hickman locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Koture is forced to tap!

Hall can't do much from the bottom here. Pearce is trying to ground and pound but Hall uses the momentary lack of control by Pearce to regain half guard. Pearce scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pearce sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hall defending well though.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Pearce lands a nice short elbow. Pearce thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Pearce thows an elbow strike that misses. Hall gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Pearce doesn't seem too bothered but Hall quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Pearce is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Pearce really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.

Paul cracks a nice hook into Poppy's ribs. Paul shoots in for a takedown but Poppy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Poppy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Paul. Paul has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Paul. That's going to take a lot out of him. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Paul. Paul looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Paul misses with a low kick.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Mac looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A jab from Cooper does it's job there. Cooper cracks Mac with an open hand slap. Mac shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cooper as he avoids it easily. Mac closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cooper circles away. Mac slips a jab from Cooper. Cooper lands a head shot. Cooper throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cooper changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Mac takes the fight into the clinch. Mac throws a punch but it's blocked by Cooper. Mac tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Cooper keeps the fight on the outside. A combination from Cooper does no damage. Mac with a lazy takedown attempt and Cooper counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Mac tries to clinch up. No joy there for Mac, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cooper takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Mac throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cooper. Cooper throws a right and a left that both miss. Mac slips a jab and a cross from Cooper.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Mac takes a body punch but keeps moving. Cooper stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cooper wants it to stay on the feet.  That's three minutes gone in the round. Mac doesn't succeed with the takedown and Cooper counters with a three punch combo that has Mac backing up. Mac nods at Cooper to acknowledge the strikes. Mac pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Cooper has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Mac is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Cooper yanks on the arm and Mac is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Cooper.

Bot shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sword but Sword pushes him off and we're back to square one.
