5 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Tragon Dux! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Perrin Aybara! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dux instigates a clinch. Aybara is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Aybara blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Aybara dodges an elbow strike from Dux.
Aybara presses Dux against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Aybara. Aybara lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Dux lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Dux tries to break free but Aybara pushes him back against the cage. Aybara pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. An inside leg kick lands from Dux. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Aybara clinches with his opponent.

Aybara is trying to push Dux away but Dux has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Aybara tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Dux tries to break free but Aybara pushes him back against the cage. Dux prevents a body shot from Aybara. Dux on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Aybara pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Dux rushes Aybara and presses him up against the cage. Dux managing to block the knees to the body from Aybara.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Dux. Aybara presses Dux against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Aybara is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Dux is defending well for now. Dux misses with a hook from the clinch. Aybara blocks the elbow strike.
Dux blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Dux creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Aybara ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Aybara no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Aybara scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aybara tries to move into range but Dux moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Aybara takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Dux fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Aybara on the side of the head. Dux checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Dux catches Aybara with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Dux rushes Aybara and presses him up against the cage. Dux wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Aybara has him pressed against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Dux's face as he tries to break the clinch. Dux lands a shoulder strike. Aybara tries to work over Dux's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Aybara wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dux lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Dux pushes off an throws an elbow but Aybara leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Aybara blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Aybara tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dux just stands there and leans against the cage. A head punch on the inside from Dux fails to land. Nice elbow from Dux. Aybara avoids a wild elbow strike from Dux.

Aybara has had enough of the clinch but Dux keeps him there for the moment. Aybara stalling in the clinch but Dux improves position. Aybara takes an elbow to the forehead. Dux creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Aybara blocks the elbow strike.
Dux lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Aybara lands a body shot. Dux pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Aybara goes for a takedown attempt but Dux pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Tragon Dux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Perrin Aybara. Dux connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Aybara takes one to the side of the head.
Aybara is rocked! Dux sends Aybara crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Dux is motioning to the referee to let Aybara up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Aybara is still on wobbly legs! Can Dux finish him? Aybara drops his hands momentarily and Dux needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Aybara just on the top of the head. Aybara drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Aybara - he's done!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Noir throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Guida stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Guida throws a head kick that misses and Noir counters with a lovely shot to the body. Guida throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Noir. Guida throws the left hand but Noir avoids the punch easily. Guida will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Guida fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Noir on the side of the head. Noir keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Noir closes the distance and clinches. Noir scores with an uppercut up the middle. Noir tries to land knees in the clinch but Guida avoids the damage to the body. Noir gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Guida.
Vince Noir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clay Guida. Noir with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Guida has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Noir is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Noir goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Guida is trying to control. Noir wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Guida not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Guida not landing any meaningful shots this time. Guida throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Noir to regain full guard. Guida throws a big elbow that misses. Guida looking to sit in guard and control but Noir gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Noir has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Guida is proving hard to escape from.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Noir won't allow Guida to sweep him here. Guida has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Guida is controlling Noir's posture.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Clay Guida. Noir has Guida up against the cage in a clinch.
Guida escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Guida shoots in but no luck this time. Guida tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Noir manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Guida has closed the distance and engaged Noir in a clinch.
Guida is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Guida is working for takedown but Noir is calmly controlling the position for now. Noir breaks from the clinch.
Clay Guida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Noir stalks Guida and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Guida's face. Guida staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Clay Guida has been cut. Guida looks to throw a body kick and Noir counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Noir jabs at Guida's body. Guida throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Noir's waist but Noir gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Guida off to one side. Guida shoots and misses and Noir counters with a stiff right hand. Guida looks gassed! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nice sprawl there from Noir as Guida shoots in. Noir is looking to wear down Guida with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Noir connects with the punch. Guida wants to clinch. Noir lands with a cross.

Guida is rocked! Guida throws a leg kick and Noir scores with a counter punch that sends Guida to the canvas! Noir smells blood - he's punishing Guida with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Guida has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vince Noir! Our winner, Vince Noir, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.

Sirkiä moves out of range of the body kick from Shaunessey.

Sirkiä distracts Shaunessey with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Sirkiä works over Shaunessey with some ground and pound from guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Shaunessey has momentary wrist control but Sirkiä slips an elbow through the middle. Shaunessey looking to control but Sirkiä passes into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sirkiä prevents Shaunessey from improving his position. Nice strikes from Sirkiä there. Sirkiä not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Niko Sirkiä overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sirkiä lands a nice short elbow. Sirkiä looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shaunessey with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Sirkiä controlling the action here. Shaunessey is refusing to be controlled, as Sirkiä sits in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sirkiä looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Sirkiä thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Shaunessey's head. Sirkiä will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shaunessey punching from the bottom.

Sirkiä lands with a punch from half guard. Shaunessey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sirkiä. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shaunessey tries to roll over but Sirkiä keeps him under control. Sirkiä is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Shaunessey is just riding it out for now. Sirkiä eventually gives up the hold. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Niko Sirkiä dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Niko Sirkiä's cut. That's time! Sirkiä's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Shaunessey wants to stand but Sirkiä is controlling the position. Sirkiä throws an elbow that misses. Shaunessey uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sirkiä's guard. Nice move by Shaunessey! Sirkiä managing to control the position.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sirkiä holds on and takes a little breather. Shaunessey drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sirkiä dives on top into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sirkiä stays in close to Shaunessey's body and controls the position. Shaunessey wants to sweep here but Sirkiä controlling him for the moment. Sirkiä is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Sirkiä wants to control from the top but Shaunessey keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Niko Sirkiä wasn't doing enough on the ground. Shaunessey throws a body kick that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Shaunessey. Sirkiä moves out of range of the body kick. Shaunessey misses with a straight left. Shaunessey misses with an attempted mid kick.

Palhares shoots in looking for a takedown but Mondello manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Palhares's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Mondello throws a big shot that misses. Mondello throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Palhares sees it coming and avoids it easily. Palhares closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mondello to the mat! Mondello manages to get full guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ting throws a nice looking combination but Larsen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Larsen throws a poor cross that misses
letting Ting counter with a right hand.
It looks like Lars Larsen has been cut. Larsen tries to close the distance and clinch but Ting swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sloppy strikes from Ting. Those never looked like landing. Larsen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ting. Ting lands a jab-cross combination. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Larsen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ting lands a really nice looking cross but Larsen seems unphased.

That's one minute gone in the round. Larsen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ting. Larsen gets tackled into the cage by Ting. Ting maintains the clinch. Ting has a couple of punches blocked by Larsen.

Larsen working Ting over with knees to the body. Ting looks gassed! This has been an exciting period of action! Larsen effectively controlling the action here. Larsen comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Ting is trying to push Larsen away but Larsen has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Larsen keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ting's efforts to push away. Larsen misses with an elbow over the top. A head punch blocked on the inside by Larsen.

Leung Ting's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
