Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Oli Dillon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lee Wilson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Dillon crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Wilson - the referee stops the clock and Dillon gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Wilson. Dillon manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Wilson cracks Dillon with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
It looks like Oli Dillon has been cut. Wilson keeps the fight on the outside. Wilson throws a series of punches but Dillon moves out of range. Wilson avoids a kick to the body.
Wilson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Wilson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Wilson misses with a body shot.
Nice sprawl there from Wilson as Dillon shoots in. Dillon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Wilson cracks Dillon with an open hand slap. Wilson misses with a body kick. Wilson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dillon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Dillon misses with a jab to the body
and Wilson counters with a big head kick but Dillon shrugs it off. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dillon misses with a body kick. Wilson checks a low kick from Dillon. Dillon looks to clinch and Wilson counters with a left and a right that stings Dillon.
Dillon is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson misses with a head kick.
Wilson blocks a low kick nicely. Lee Wilson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wilson clobbers Dillon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Oh Dillon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Dillon doesn't manage to clinch there - Wilson circles away.
Dillon tries to close the distance and clinch but Wilson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Dillon seems to have got his legs back now. A leg kick checked by Wilson. Wilson misses with a few strikes there.
Dillon throws a head kick but Wilson moves out of range.
Dillon finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Dillon tried to score with a low kick but Wilson checks it. Wilson lands a jab to the head.
Dillon tries to clinch up. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Dillon. Dillon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wilson sprawls well. Wilson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dillon gets slowly back to his feet. Wilson throws a push kick but Dillon slaps the foot to one side.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dillon takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Dillon is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wilson throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Dillon tries to clinch but Wilson is having none of it. Dillon takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Dillon with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Wilson to score with a decent uppercut. Dillon throws a front kick aimed at Wilson's knee but Wilson avoids it well. Dillon gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Wilson gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lee Wilson! After the fight, Lee Wilson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gary Dove! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hadrian Barret! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dove feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Barrets jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Dove changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barret tries to avoid it but Dove manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barret to the ground. Barret escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Barret plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Dove drives through and clinches with Barret against the ropes.
Dove is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Barret lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dove gets full guard. Barret trying to control the position from guard on top but Dove is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dove wants to stand up but Barret is controlling him. Dove seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Dove wants to stand but Barret is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dove controlling Barret's posture. Barret working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Gary Dove wasn't doing enough on the ground. Barret gets a double leg takedown into Dove's guard. Barret postures up.
Dove looking for a sweep. Not yet Dove, not yet. Barret loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Dove keeping moving, preventing Barret from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barret landing with the ground and pound. Barret trying to control but Dove is working from the bottom. Barret being controlled here momentarily.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Dove shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Barret defends it nicely. Barret gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dove to score an easy takedown into full guard. Dove is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Barret wants to get back to his feet but Dove is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Dove lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Dove wants to control from the top but Barret keeps moving. Dove keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Barret's head. Dove working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Barret pushes Dove off and scrambles back to his feet.
Dove misses with a combination
and Barret counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dove's guard now. Dove keeping moving, preventing Barret from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barret has gone for a leg lock! Dove slips out almost immediately though and dives into Barret's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Barret is looking for a triangle but Dove pushes his legs off easily.
Dove preventing the sweep. Dove content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Dove trying to control the position from guard on top but Barret is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dove got a little sloppy there for a moment and Barret has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dove has managed to get both his arms back between Barret's legs - danger averted. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dove lands a couple of digs. Dove trying to control but Barret is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Hadrian Barret will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Dove tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barret sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dove somewhat. Barret throws a head kick but Dove moves out of range.
Barret fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dove avoids it really well and circles away. Barret looks for a takedown but Dove sprawls well. Dove moves into the clinch. Barret can't get the takedown.
Gary Dove has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hadrian Barret. Dove lands a body shot. Barret is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barret is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Dove tightens his grip and picks Barret up, before dumping him to the ground. Barret manages to land in guard. Dove stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barret swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dove scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Dove in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Barret looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Barret not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dove works a leg free and moves into half guard. Dove working the head and body with strikes. Dove working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dove lands with a punch from half guard. Nice strikes from Dove there.
Barret is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dove lands a big elbow - Barret is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Dove!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gary Dove! Gary Dove is the new light heavyweight champion!
