The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodd slips a jab and a cross from Anderton.
Rodd shoots in looking for a takedown. Anderton tries to sprawl out of it but Rodd keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Anderton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck for Rodd with that takedown attempt.
Rodd dives in and grabs Anderton's left leg, looking for a takedown. Anderton pushes down on Rodd's head and hops out.
Luiz Anderton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Rodd.

Rodd gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Anderton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Anderton looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Rodd is refusing to be controlled, as Anderton sits in half guard.
Anderton is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rodd is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Anderton is thwarting Rodd's attempts to control the position.

Anderton has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Rodd defend it? Anderton steps over the head and cranks it - Rodd is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Anderton!

Price looks to land a combination but Sahebt avoids it well.
Sahebt's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Price connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sahebt scrambles back to his feet.

Sahebt scores with a takedown into Price's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Sahebt controlling from the top position.

Sahebt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sahebt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Sahebt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Sahebt loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Sahebt throws a big elbow that misses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sahebt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Sahebt stays in close to Price's body and controls the position.
Sahebt's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Sahebt drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Sahebt as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Price screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Sahebt! Nice submission victory there!

James Sahebt decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
