Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Shepard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mommasaid Out! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Anthony Taglia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Out does it's job there. Out misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Out's corner calls for a 1-2. Out obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Out misses with a double jab.
Shepard avoids the head kick by Out.
Shepard blocks a head kick by Out.
Shepard shoots in looking for a takedown but Out manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Shepard's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Out fails to land with a series of punches.
Out lands a jab to the nose. Out swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A combination from Out does no damage. Out misses with the combination.
Out throws a half hearted mid kick. Out tries to bum rush Shepard with a series of wild strikes but Shepard uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's one minute gone in the round. Out will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Out connects with a looping right hand.
Mommasaid Out seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Out fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Out tries to land a front kick but Shepard steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Out misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Horrible takedown by Shepard or perhaps it was just good defense by Out which made him look bad. Out throws a looping overhand right but Shepard ducks down to avoid it. Out throws a good cross that connects.

Out looks to land a combination but Shepard avoids it well.

Shepard shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Out manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Shepard's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shepard stops Out from standing up. Out looks gassed! Shepard keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Out's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shepard lands a couple of digs. Shepard in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Shepard throws a big right hand that misses. Shepard postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shepard works over Out with some ground and pound from guard. Shepard postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shepard throws a big elbow that misses. Shepard drops back looking for a leg! Out is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Out manages to kick Shepard off! Shepard jumps back into Out's guard. Shepard is in close to Out's body, working some short punches and elbows. Shepard with a flurry of punches that miss. Shepard with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Shepard stays in close to Out's body and controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shepard with a flurry of punches that miss. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shepard keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Out's head. Shepard in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Shepard slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Shepard working the ground and pound. Out really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shepard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Shepard lands a few punches from side control. Shepard working the head and body with strikes. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Shepard is working Out over with some ground and pound from side control. Shepard scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Out to see if he's OK. Shepard has hold of Out's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Out tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Shepard cranks the arm and Out screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Out, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). John Shepard! During a confident post fight interview, John Shepard thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! John shoots in and gets a takedown into Anastasia's guard. John trying to control but Anastasia is working from the bottom. Anastasia pushes John off and scrambles back to his feet.
Anastasia shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches John napping and manages to drive through into side control! Anastasia connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused John some visible discomfort.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Anastasia scoring with punches and elbows. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Anastasia in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Anastasia has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Anastasia looks up at the clock and then as John takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Anastasia smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Anastasia creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Anastasia is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

John is rocked! Anastasia cracks John with a big elbow. Oh John is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Anastasia working the ground and pound. John takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. John wants to control but Anastasia postures up. Anastasia cracks John with a big elbow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Anastasia lands a strong strike to the head of John. That's dazed him! Anastasia looking to finish here. John is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Anastasia lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilkins moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Wallace fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Wilkins fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Wilkins connects with a right hand. Wallace shakes it off. Wilkins lands the left hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wilkins is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wallace sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Wilkins scores with a head kick.
Wallace tries to clinch up. Wilkins misses with a body shot.
Wilkins cracks Wallace with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Wilkins lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Wallace is rocked! Wallace stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Wilkins. Oh Wallace is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wallace decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Wallace is breathing heavily. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Wilkins is trying is best to control the position here. Wilkins makes his way to full guard, as Wallace worked for a kimura.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wilkins frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Wilkins in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wallace takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Wilkins is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Wallace goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Wilkins!

Shickawa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Alto circles away quickly and effectively. Shickawa misses the shot to the body. Alto lands a high kick!

Shickawa displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Alto throws out the jab. Alto looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Shickawa throws a shot from downtown. Alto moves away and avoids it. Alto lands with a right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shickawa throws a right hand that Alto ducks under and follows up with a left that Alto also avoids with ease. Donnie Alto is winning the standup battle so far. Alto throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Shickawa colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Alto as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Shickawa is left battered and dazed whilst Alto and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Donnie Alto! Donnie Alto seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some bone on bone action there as Landers checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Pereira fails in his attempt to clinch. Pereira wants to clinch up but Landers keeps it at a distance. An inside leg kick lands from Pereira. Pereira feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Landers's calf. Landers checks a leg kick. Pereira connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Landers misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pereira.
Pereira tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Landers paws at him with a jab and circles away. Clint Pereira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Landers shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pereira but Pereira pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pereira throws a head kick that misses. Pereira throws out a loose jab but Landers uses good head movement to avoid it. Landers takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Pereira keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Pereira gets caught napping as Landers dives in and scores a takedown. Pereira manages to retain guard. Pereira utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Landers advances to half guard. Landers perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pereira can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Landers content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Landers is trying to work for a kimura but Pereira is defending well.

Landers has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Landers lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Pereira hang on? Landers misses with a head shot. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Landers pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Landers controlling from mount. Landers throwing strikes here but Pereira is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Landers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Landers with a couple of short strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Landers landing shots from mount. Pereira can't find room to land a body shot as Landers controls the action.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brock Landers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pereira wants to get back to full guard. Landers is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pereira doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Landers. Landers is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Landers thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pereira's head. Pereira is in trouble now - Landers has advanced to mount!
