0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rickson Silva! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Silva is defended easily by Cruz. Cruz closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Silva quickly recovers to half guard. Cruz is trying to control the action in half guard but Silva is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Silva trying to control but Cruz postures up.

Silva is looking for a triangle but Cruz pushes his legs off easily.
Silva seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Silva controls Cruz momentarily but Cruz frees himself. Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cruz is one step ahead there.

Silva wants to sweep here but Cruz controlling him for the moment. Cruz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Cruz throws a big elbow that misses. Cruz has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Silva looking to control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cruz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Cruz gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Cruz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nice takedown defense from Cruz. No joy for Silva on that attempt. Cruz closes the distance and clinches. Silva tries to score a body lock takedown but Cruz shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Ridja Cruz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rickson Silva. Silva gets a trip takedown into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cruz is trying to maintain the position but Silva is very close to passing his half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Silva thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cruz's head. Cruz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Cruz stacks Silva on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cruz! Cruz throws a strike aimed at the side of Silva's head but Silva avoids it well. Silva tries to bench press Cruz off him but Cruz keeps the position. Silva gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Cruz misses with a head shot. Silva uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cruz has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Silva is proving hard to escape from. Silva has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Cruz doesn't defend quickly enough and Silva has managed to lock this one up! Can Cruz escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Silva on a fantastic submission victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Massaranduba shoots for a takedown but Baldaia saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Baldaia closes the distance and clinches. Baldaia's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Massaranduba dodges the punch combination from Baldaia.

Baldaia fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Massaranduba, pushing him back against the cage. Baldaia lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cote looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Black! Cote looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Black is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Cote really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Black. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Black wants to hold on but Cote pushes him away. Cote raining down shots from the mount!

This has been an exciting period of action! Lescott feints and as Linas raises his hands in defense, Lescott changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lescott looking to sit in guard and control but Linas gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Lescott is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Slam looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Knees in the clinch landing for Dux.
Dux breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Slam tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Slam drops his hands momentarily and Dux needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Slam just on the top of the head. Slam drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Slam - he's done!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Benoit.
A jab from Benoit does it's job there. Bobby Benoit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Benoit looks to land a right hand but Only moved out of range. Benoit throws a nice looking combination but Only bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Benoit cracks Only with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Only moves out of range of the strikes. Only throws a body punch but Benoit moves out of range. Only lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Only swings for the body but Benoit moves out of range.
Only drives through with a takedown into guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Only throws a big elbow that misses. Only trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Only trying to control the position from guard on top but Benoit is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Only is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Only throws a strike but Benoit rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Only pulls Benoit in close to prevent any damage. Only manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Benoit manages to get himself to full guard.
Only throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Only throws a big elbow that misses. Only controls from within his opponent's guard. Benoit preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Benoit avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Only is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Benoit utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Only has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Only wants to control from the top but Benoit keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Only working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Benoit's head. Only is in close to Benoit's body, working some short punches and elbows. Only lands a couple of decent looking shots. Benoit utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Benoit is breathing heavily. Only looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Only forces his way into half guard. Only trying to control the pace. Only missing with the ground and pound from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lester Only dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Benoit gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Only to score an easy takedown into full guard. Only is looking to work some ground and pound but Benoit has wrist control. Only lands a couple of decent looking shots. Only with a flurry of punches that miss. Only keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Benoit's head. Only working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Only is stalling in the full guard. Only's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's one minute gone in the round. Only throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Benoit works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Only stops Benoit from standing up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Only throwing strikes but missing. Only controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Only with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
It looks like Bobby Benoit has been cut. Only passes Benoit's left leg - he's now in half guard. Benoit knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Only on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Benoit is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Only scores with a couple of nice shots. Benoit on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Benoit tries to get out of the position. Only thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Benoit's head. Only slips a nice elbow through Benoit's hands, connecting with Benoit's forehead. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Only controlling the action here. Only looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Benoit with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Pigeon throws a hook but Gomez blocks it. Nice sprawl there from Pigeon as Gomez shoots in. Pigeon jabs at Gomez's body. Pigeon throws a right and a left that Gomez avoids nicely. Pigeon misses with a looping left. Gomez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Pigeon tries to land a leg kick but Gomez saw it coming and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gomez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pigeon tries to avoid it but Gomez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pigeon to the ground. Pigeon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Pigeon lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
It looks like Marco Gomez has been cut. Gomez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pigeon is fending him off so far but Gomez persists. Nope, Pigeon circles away and we're back to standing. Gomez showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Pigeon.
Pigeon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Pigeon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gomez manages to avoid it. Gomez scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Pigeon has his hands clasped together around Gomez's back. He's all about the action. Gomez seems to be looking for submissions.
Pigeon makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pigeon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gomez moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Gomez shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pigeon wants to clinch. Gomez dives in and grabs Pigeon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pigeon pushes down on Gomez's head and hops out. Pigeon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Gomez tries to move into range but Pigeon moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Pigeon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Pigeon stuffs the takedown attempt from Gomez. Gomez gets slowly back to his feet. Pigeon lands a left and a right that send Gomez crashing to the mat, dazed. Pigeon thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gomez dives in and grabs Pigeon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pigeon pushes down on Gomez's head and hops out. Gomez looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Pigeon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pigeon wants it to stay on the feet. Gomez scores with a takedown into Pigeon's guard. Gomez is breathing heavily. Pigeon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Gomez trying to move into half guard but instead Pigeon has managed to sweep! Gomez working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pigeon. Gomez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pigeon defends it easily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pigeon looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pigeon makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Pigeon decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gomez, up you get! Pigeon tries to bum rush Gomez with a series of wild strikes but Gomez uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Pigeon misses with a series of wild punches.
Pigeon doesn't manage to clinch there - Gomez circles away.
Pigeon stuffs the takedown. Gomez blocks a low kick nicely. Gomez takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Pigeon misses with a looping left. Pigeon tries to clinch up. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A decent looking cross lands there for Pigeon. Pigeon missing with a left hand there. Gomez was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Gomez fails with the takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pigeon prevents a takedown attempt there.

Pigeon takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Jeez, Marco Gomez's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Pigeon cracks Gomez with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Gomez tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Pigeon pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Gomez is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Harry Pigeon! Jumping up and down and very excited, Harry Pigeon waved his t-shirt featuring Crippler's Corner's logo in front of the cameras.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kerbouchard. Kerbouchard tries to close the distance and clinch but Hughes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kerbouchard closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kerbouchard has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hughes after a bit of a struggle. Kerbouchard pulls guard. Kerbouchard looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Hughes is defending well. Kerbouchard quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Hughes has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Kerbouchard celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Puempel ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shonuck moves away. Shonuck misses with a body kick. Shonuck scores with a leg kick.
A low kick from Shonuck is predictable there and Puempel counters with a single leg into guard. Shonuck didn't expect that. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Puempel tries to free his leg and advance position but Shonuck is retaining full guard. Shonuck wants to get back to his feet but Puempel is in a dominant position and won't allow it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shonuck is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Puempel wants to control from the top but Shonuck keeps moving. Puempel must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Puempel is sitting in close to Shonuck's body. Shonuck has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Puempel is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Puempel is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Shonuck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faber tries for a takedown but Piscopo circles away easily and Faber takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Piscopo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Faber tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Piscopo is able to avoid easily. Faber misses with a takedown and Piscopo counters with a three punch combo that has Faber backing up. Faber nods at Piscopo to acknowledge the strikes. Piscopo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Piscopo wants to control but Faber is keeping him busy. Piscopo is looking for a kimura here.
