Dodson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Davis tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dodson is in Davis's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Hardy on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hardy crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Benavidez - the referee stops the clock and Hardy gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Benavidez. Hardy manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Benavidez scores with the left hand. Hardy knows he should have avoided that one.
Damn Hardy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Benavidez thows a body kick. Hardy tries to catch it but that hurt him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Benavidez bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Benavidez connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Hardy tumbling to the canvas! Benavidez pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Hardy was done - good stoppage!
