0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Austin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Jackson! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Austin doesn't manage to clinch there - Jackson circles away.
Austin throws a half hearted mid kick. A punch combination from Jackson misses. Jackson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Austin. Austin misses with a takedown and Jackson counters with a nice body kick. Some bone on bone action there as Austin checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Jackson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Austin on the side of the head. Austin takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Austin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jackson scores with a kick to the body.

Jackson throws a leg kick which misses Austin's front leg but catches the back leg as Austin tries to avoid it. Jackson keeps Austin at a distance using the push kick. Jay Jackson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Austin. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Austin walks into a left hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jackson.
Nice body punch from Jackson. Jackson throws a nice inside leg kick. Jackson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Austin eats them both and turns towards Jackson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. A nice leg kick lands there from Jackson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson cracks Austin with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. A jab-cross combination lands for Jackson and sends Austin crashing to the mat! Jackson follows him down to the mat - Austin regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Steve Austin has been cut. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Jackson stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Oh Austin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Jackson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Jackson stuns Austin with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Austin seems to have got his legs back now. A decent looking cross lands there for Jackson. Jackson misses with a double jab.

Jackson throws a series of punches but Austin avoids them all with ease. Austin walks into a stiff left hand from Jackson. Steve Austin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson lands with a hook. Austin tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Jackson misses with a series of wild punches.
Jackson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Jackson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Jackson drops Austin with a right and a left! Jackson comes rushing in but Austin regains his composure and manages to keep Jackson in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jackson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. A combination from Jackson does no damage. Jackson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Austin walks into a left hand. Jackson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Jackson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Austin gets in close and instigates a clinch. Jackson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Jackson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jackson lands with a right hand. Jackson lands a leg kick that knocks Austin off balance momentarily. Jackson works over Austin's head and body with a nice combination. Jackson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Austin had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Austin. Jackson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Good leg kick by Jackson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Austin takes a shot right to the bread basket. Jackson stalks Austin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Austin's face. Austin staggers backwards, shaken. Jackson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jackson, right into the meat.

Jackson is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Austin like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Austin from another fist facial!

An intense looking Jay Jackson took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Houston, Texas, I love you! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pai lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Sankfurt is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Pai circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pai throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sankfurt. Sankfurt throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pai throws a right and a left that Sankfurt avoids nicely. Sankfurt doesn't manage to clinch there - Pai circles away.
Sankfurt is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Pai. Sankfurt shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pai but Pai pushes him off and we're back to square one. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sankfurt. Sankfurt lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pai circles away quickly and effectively.

Pai has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Sankfurt does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Sankfurt shoots and misses and Pai counters with a straight right hand. Pai looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sankfurt on the wrong end of a nice jab. Pai scores with a jab to the body. Sankfurt takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pai, as that shot connected.
Teu Pai is winning the standup battle so far. Pai throws a series of punches but Sankfurt moves out of range. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sankfurt is defended easily by Pai. Sankfurt gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Sankfurt has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sankfurt shoots in for a takedown but Pai shows good takedown defense. Teu Pai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rhya Sankfurt. Sankfurt with a lazy takedown attempt and Pai counters with a crisp one two that drops Sankfurt! Pai thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Sankfurt to his feet! Sankfurt is in big trouble! Sankfurt is still on wobbly legs! Can Pai finish him? We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sankfurt uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pai.
Sankfurt fails with a takedown attempt. Pai lands with a right hand. Pai looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sankfurt takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Is there anything that Sankfurt can do to turn this around? Pai displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sankfurt. Pai drops Sankfurt with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sankfurt looks back up at him and smiles so Pai waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Sankfurt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Pai manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sankfurt tries to clinch up and Pai counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Sankfurt fails to land the takedown. Sankfurt seems to have recovered his senses. Teu Pai is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sankfurt throws a body punch but Pai moves out of range.
And that's the end of the fight! Teu Pai showed his dominance in that final round. Well Pai has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva gets tackled into the cage by Ferguson. Ferguson maintains the clinch. Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! Ferguson looking to stall.
Maybe Ferguson would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much. Ferguson manages to pull guard.
Silva lands a couple of elbows. Ferguson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Silva trying to control but Ferguson is working from the bottom. Silva passes Ferguson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Silva's guard. Ferguson is nestled in close to Silva, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva looking for a kimura from the bottom but Ferguson passes into side control!

Ferguson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working. Ferguson lands a decent elbow from side control. Ferguson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ferguson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Silva to his feet. Ferguson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ferguson drives through with a takedown into guard. BJ Ferguson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Smith shoots in but Dogg avoids the takedown attempt easily. Dogg thumps Smith with a low kick. Dogg throws a head kick that misses. Dogg rushes Smith and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Dogg taking a breather. Dogg manages to break the clinch.
Dogg cracks the inside of Smith's front leg. Smith fails with the takedown. Snoop Dogg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ted Smith. Smith moves out of range of the leg kick from Dogg. Smith wants to slow Dogg down by chopping away at his legs. Smith looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Dogg regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Smith advances position into side control! Smith misses with the ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Smith stands up and beckons Dogg to his feet. Well, if Smith is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Dogg knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smith on the ground. Smith thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dogg's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice strikes from Smith there. Smith is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dogg sees it coming and defends easily. Smith has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dogg is staying active underneath Smith, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Dogg is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Dogg on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dogg tries to get out of the position. Smith looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Letchford throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Letchford throws a nice outside leg kick. Letchford pushes Postlethwaite away with a front kick. Postlethwaite shoots in for a takedown but Letchford shows good takedown defense. This has been an exciting period of action! Letchford shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Letchford misses with a low kick. Letchford has been the more effective fighter overall so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Letchford scoring well with a low kick there.
Iain Postlethwaite has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Letchford is looking to slow Postlethwaite down with leg kicks.
And that's the end of the fight! Kelvin Letchford comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Letchford has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raefon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Salamander.
Raefon shoots in and gets a takedown into Salamander's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Salamander is on top in guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Raefon can do anything to dispel that myth. Raefon pushes Salamander off and gets back to his feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanikawa swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Rice with a poor takedown and Tanikawa counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rice! Tanikawa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Rice takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee warns Rice that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action! Rice is in a horrible position here. Tanikawa smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Tanikawa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Rice really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
