The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sword misses with a wild body shot.
Sword shoots in and drives through. Ramirez sprawls well.
Ramirez jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Sword drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ramirez has momentary wrist control but Sword slips an elbow through the middle.

Ramirez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sword is aware though and is defending well.
Sword postures up and lands a big shot to Ramirez's brow.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sword forces his way into half guard.
Sword is nestled in close to Ramirez, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Sword working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Ramirez is trying to maintain the position but Sword is very close to passing his half guard.
Ramirez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sword lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Sword controlling the pace.
Ramirez on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Ramirez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sword is working away from the top position though.
Ramirez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sword on the ground.
Sword lands strikes from half guard.
Sword seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Sword slips a nice elbow through Ramirez's hands, connecting with Ramirez's forehead.

Ramirez is rocked!
Ramirez on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ramirez tries to get out of the position.
Sword lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Ramirez! More strikes land and this one is all over! Sword jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Zahradnicek lunges at Poppy with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Poppy's hand.
Poppy's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Zahradnicek connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Poppy scrambles back to his feet.
Zahradnicek throws a hook to the side of Poppy's head but Poppy sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Poppy throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Zahradnicek gets a double leg takedown into Poppy's guard.

Poppy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zahradnicek doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Poppy is tightening it up a little... Zahradnicek has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Zahradnicek reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Zahradnicek taps out! Nice BJJ there by Poppy!
