The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rush looking to score a takedown here. Silva is defending well but Rush drives through and ends up in Silva's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Rush wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position.

Rush decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Silva, up you get!

Rush decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Rush tries to pass to full mount but Silva defends it.
Silva wants to control but Rush is keeping busy.
Silva is looking for a sweep. Rush is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Rush really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Silva has left one of his arms exposed and Rush doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Silva screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Ultor can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Heirich controls the pace.

Heirich is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Obasi remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
