Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adrian keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Soares misses with a body shot.
Adrian staying out of range there. Adrian tries to clinch up. Adrian pushes Soares up against the cage in a clinch. Adrian throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Adrian gets through Soares's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Still in the clinch, Adrian scores with a nice short uppercut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Adrian prevents Soares from breaking the clinch. A short right from Adrian. Soares tries to break free but Adrian pushes him back against the cage. Adrian lands a body punch in the clinch. Soares looks gassed! Adrian lands a right hand. Adrian lands with a right to the head. Adrian leaning against his opponent.

It's hard to tell if that hurt Soares or not. Adrian lands with a light punch inside. Adrian lands with a right to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Adrian dips a shoulder and cracks Soares with a mighty uppercut! Soares falls back against the cage and Adrian unloads with a barrage of strikes! Soares is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Adrian screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Camilo clinches up against the cage. Camilo gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Camilo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Fernandes is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Camilo, into his guard. Fernandes has gone for a leg lock! Camilo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fernandes's guard. Camilo looking to pass the guard. Fernandes keeping moving, preventing Camilo from controlling successfully. Camilo won't allow Fernandes to sweep him here. Fernandes controls Camilo momentarily but Camilo frees himself. Camilo wants to pass the guard but Fernandes is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Camilo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Fernandes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Camilo manages to get himself to full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Fernandes is looking to advance position but Camilo has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Fernandes is trying desperately to improve position. Camilo controlling the position easily from mount. Poor strikes thrown by Camilo there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Camilo wants to finish this one by submission but Fernandes is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Camilo. Camilo trying to control but he's not successful this time. Camilo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Camilo raining down shots from the mount! Fernandes sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Fernandes trying to control here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Camilo is figuring out what he wants to do next. Camilo wants to pass the guard but Fernandes is defending well. Camilo is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Camilo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Fernandes manages to get to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Camilo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Fernandes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Camilo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Fernandes looking to control.
Fernandes is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Camilo is aware though and is defending well. Camilo tries to free his leg and advance position but Fernandes is retaining full guard. Camilo trying to control the position from guard on top but Fernandes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fernandes can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Camilo controls the pace. Fernandes has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Camilo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Fernandes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tiago Camilo dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Camilo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Fernandes manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Fernandes being controlled here, momentarily. Camilo is pushing down on Fernandes's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fernandes is fighting to maintain full guard but Camilo has managed to sneak the leg through. Camilo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fernandes doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Camilo. Fernandes wants to get back to full guard. Camilo trying to control the action but Fernandes is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Camilo thows a huge punch but Fernandes dodges it nicely.
Camilo is keen to just control but Fernandes is a slippery customer. Camilo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Camilo passes Fernandes's left leg - he's now in half guard. Fernandes is trying to maintain the position but Camilo is very close to passing his half guard. Camilo wants to pass to mount but Fernandes is defending the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fernandes looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The fighters are battling for position here. Fernandes manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Fernandes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Camilo's guard. Fernandes drops back, looking for a kneebar! Camilo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Camilo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Camilo! Tiago Camilo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Camilo moves into full mount! Camilo looking to ground and pound but Fernandes is blocking nicely. Camilo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Camilo working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Fernandes looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Camilo! Submission of the night perhaps?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamazaki with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Nice sprawl there from Yamazaki as Britto shoots in. A decent looking body kick lands there for Yamazaki. Yuri Yamazaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yamazaki throws a head kick that misses. Britto takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Britto darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Britto stops Yamazaki from getting back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action! Britto scoring with strikes to the body and head. Yamazaki is trying to get back to full guard. Britto thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Yamazaki's head. Britto missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Yamazaki is trying to control but can't.

Britto has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Yamazaki has hold of Britto's hands but Britto slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Britto working the head and body with strikes. Yamazaki keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Britto working Yamazaki over with strikes.

Britto seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Britto sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Yamazaki defending well though. Yamazaki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Britto on the ground. Britto looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Yamazaki with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Britto working over Yamazaki with some ground and pound. Yamazaki looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yamazaki is breathing heavily. Britto throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Yamazaki to regain full guard. Britto working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Yamazaki's head. Britto lands a couple of decent looking shots. Yamazaki preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Britto stands up from guard. Let's bang! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Britto. Britto blocks a head kick by Yamazaki.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Britto fails with the takedown. Yuri Yamazaki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diogo Britto. Britto closes this distance looking for a takedown but Yamazaki circles away. Britto looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Yamazaki! Britto breaks from Yamazaki's wrist control and lands an elbow. Britto cracks Yamazaki with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The referee warns Yamazaki that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Yamazaki is rocked! Britto loads up with a big shot that hurts Yamazaki! He's pulled Britto in close but Britto has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Yamazaki survive? More strikes from Britto and Yamazaki is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kamsuk throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Donovan misses with a hook
and Kamsuk counters with an inside leg kick. Kamsuk lands with a kick to the temple. Donovan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Jason Donovan has been cut. Kamsuk throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kamsuk thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Donovan if he has to take too many more of those.
Donovan looks gassed! Crack! A monster head kick from Kamsuk and Donovan falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Kamsuk!

This has been an exciting period of action! Chagaev tries to bum rush Tavares with a series of wild strikes but Tavares uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Chagaev is looking to score with low kicks. Chagaev fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Tavares has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Tavares gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Chagaev presses Tavares against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Tavares is trying to push Chagaev away but Chagaev has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tavares lands a right hand that snaps the head of Chagaev backwards. Tavares pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Chagaev lands an elbow inside. Tavares misses with a short punch on the inside. Chagaev with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Tavares swings wildly with an uppercut but Chagaev uses good head movement to avoid it. Tavares is pushing Chagaev up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Tavares pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Chagaev clinches with his opponent.
Tavares will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Chagaev up against the cage. Chagaev is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tavares tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Chagaev's elbow. Chagaev goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Tavares throws a wild body kick that Chagaev sees coming a mile off. Tavares takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Chiwawa Chagaev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A right-left combo lands from Chagaev. A slapping leg kick lands for Tavares.
Tavares connects with a solid leg kick. Chagaev throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Tavares counters with a left and a right that stings Chagaev. Chagaev chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tavares can pounce on him.
Tavares moves into range and connects with a jab. Good standup being displayed there by Tavares as he connects with a hook. Tavares checks a leg kick. A kick lands to the mid section there for Tavares. Chagaev looks gassed! Chagaev tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tavares paws at him with a jab and circles away. Tavares misses the jab. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tavares scores with a crisp jab that stopped Chagaev in his tracks. Chagaev misses with a body kick. Tavares connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Tavares moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Thiago Tavares will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
